- No revenue share, but Kajabi Payments charges 2.7% to 2.9% plus $0.30 a sale in the US; using another processor (not PayPal) adds 0.5% to 2%.
- Basic stops at 5 products, 2,500 contacts and 2 admin users. Extra contacts cost $125 a month per block of 25,000.
- There is no free plan. The branded mobile app is only in Pro unless bought for $199 a month.
- Basic has no AI credits; Growth gets 500 and Pro 1,000, and 500 more cost $15 a month.

## Keep it, or make your own?

**Keep it.** To replace Kajabi you would be making newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one. That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 15 of the 18 other course and community platforms grade higher. It costs $1,716 a year.

- You could make: Online courses and paid newsletters: an app builder makes these well.
- You could not: Newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox.
- You could not: Email sent in volume that still reaches the inbox.
- You could not: A members' space with posts, chat and events that people keep coming back to.
- You could not: A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- You could not: It plugs into other products, Stripe, PayPal and Zapier among them, and has an API.
