# Nexcess > Managed cloud hosting for WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento and VPS Nexcess is a managed hosting and cloud company that runs WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento and Shopware sites, managed VPS and dedicated servers. Its site is signed Nexcess Corp., which lists Liquid Web and Servers.com as its other brands. Plans are put together with its team after a conversation rather than bought from a public price list, and the site is aimed at businesses with compliance or heavy-traffic needs. - **Category:** Web Hosting - **Made by:** Nexcess Corp. - **Website:** https://www.nexcess.com - **Runs on:** Web - **Facts last checked:** Oct 17, 2026 ## Pricing Nexcess's current pricing could not be confirmed from its own site. ## Key features - **Managed WordPress and WooCommerce:** WordPress and WooCommerce environments come with automatic updates, security hardening and performance tuning, and scale up for traffic spikes. - **Magento and Shopware hosting:** Ecommerce environments for Magento and Shopware are managed at the application layer, with autoscaling and a bundled CDN for Shopware. - **Managed VPS:** Each VPS has its own CPU, RAM and storage, with OS and security patches, DDoS protection, firewalls, a CDN and WAF, and 7-day Acronis backups. - **Control panel choice:** InterWorx is included free on Linux servers; cPanel and Plesk are available for a monthly fee. - **Compliance-ready setup:** The platform is built for PCI-DSS, HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements, and PCI ASV scans and vulnerability scanning can be added. - **Full migrations:** Its team moves files, databases, email and DNS records, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and verifies sites before DNS is switched. ## Good for - Stores that need PCI-ready hosting for WooCommerce or Magento - Businesses moving off shared hosting that want a managed VPS - Teams that prefer to plan hosting with an engineer rather than pick a plan online ## Worth knowing - No hosting plan has a published price; WordPress, ecommerce and VPS hosting are quoted after talking with its team. - cPanel costs $20 a month for 5 accounts, $35 for 30 or $50 for 100, and Plesk is $15 a month on Windows servers. - Imunify360 malware scanning is a $30-a-month add-on, ThreatDown intrusion monitoring $34 and per-server DDoS mitigation $111. - Its pages lead with regulated industries such as healthcare and finance, so there is no self-serve plan for a small blog. ## ToolGPA grades **GPA: 1.6 out of 4**, graded Oct 17, 2026. Nexcess is managed hosting for businesses with heavier needs: WooCommerce, Magento and Shopware stores, managed VPS, and a setup built for PCI-DSS, HIPAA and SOC 2. There's no price list, though. You talk to its team and get a quote, and malware scanning and cPanel are paid extras. - **Value for money: C.** No price on record: every plan is quoted after a talk with its team, so no two-year figure can be worked out. It sits at C, the grade for no stated price. The add-ons are priced: Imunify360 malware scanning is $30 a month, cPanel from $20. - **Free plan and trial: F.** No free plan and no trial, and no self-serve plan to try at all. You start with a conversation. - **Features: C.** Managed WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento and Shopware, managed VPS, a compliance-ready setup and full migrations including email and DNS. The gaps the listing names: malware scanning is a $30 add-on, and cPanel and Plesk cost extra. - **Ease of use: C.** No app store rating to go on. Its team plans the setup with you and does the migration, which helps, but you can't just sign up and start. - **Platforms and integrations: C.** A web service with no app or API on record. The named integrations are the platforms it hosts and its control panels: WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, Shopware, cPanel, Plesk and InterWorx. These are ToolGPA's own grades. Graded from this listing, whose facts were read from Nexcess's own pages on 17 October 2026. Not based on using the product, and shorter than our full reviews. ## Where it stands among web hosts - Nexcess's GPA of 1.6 is higher than 0 of the 21 other web hosts we grade, and level with 3. - It stands best on value for money (C, above 1 of 21) and worst on free plan and trial (F, above 0). The category's chart of price against score: https://toolgpa.com/charts/web-hosting ## Keep it, or make your own? **Keep it.** To replace Nexcess you would be making servers kept running, patched and backed up for you. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one. That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 18 of the 21 other web hosts grade higher. - You could not: Servers kept running, patched and backed up for you. - You could not: An engine that recognises new malware as it appears. - You could not: It plugs into other products, WordPress, WooCommerce and Magento among them. - You could not: What a company asks for before it lets staff use something: SOC 2 and HIPAA. A judgement by ToolGPA from this listing, by rules that are the same for every tool. Nothing was built to test it. ## Works with WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento, Shopware, cPanel, Plesk, InterWorx, Kadence **Tags:** Managed WordPress, Malware protection ## Alternatives - [Liquid Web](https://toolgpa.com/tools/liquid-web): Managed WordPress, VPS and dedicated server hosting for businesses.
