- Every backend user pays, including an outside accountant and staff who log expenses; limited-access employees can be $8.90 Light Users via an advisor.
- Not included: implementation services, Odoo.sh hosting, and in-app credits for text messages and AI bill scanning.

That's rare in accounting. The catch comes when you add a second Odoo app: every user then goes on a paid plan, $31.10 a user a month billed yearly after a cheaper first year.

## Keep it, or make your own?

**Keep it.** To replace Odoo you would be making live feeds from your bank, which take an agreement with each bank or a service that has them. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one. It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 3.2 is higher than 15 of the 17 other accounting and invoicing tools we grade. It costs $24.90 a year. Odoo is open source, so there is a third way: take its code and run it yourself.

- You could make: Invoicing, expense tracking and reports: an app builder makes these well.
- You could not: Live feeds from your bank, which take an agreement with each bank or a service that has them.
- You could not: A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- You could not: AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
- You could not: The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
