# TeuxDeux

> Minimal day-by-day to-do list modeled on a sheet of paper

TeuxDeux is a deliberately simple to-do list that gives each calendar day its own list, with undated someday lists underneath. Unfinished to-dos roll over to the next day, recurring to-dos are typed in plain words, and there are no alerts or pop-ups. The iOS and Android apps are free to use, while the web app requires a subscription after a 7-day trial.

## Key features

- **A list for every day:** To-dos are written on the list for a calendar day and reordered by drag and drop, in a layout meant to feel like a paper to-do list.
- **Automatic rollover:** To-dos that are not finished today move to tomorrow's list on their own, so nothing has to be rescheduled by hand.
- **Recurring to-dos in plain words:** Adding a phrase such as "every weekday" or "every other week" to the end of a to-do makes it repeat. Recurring to-dos can also be edited and sorted from a sidebar.
- **Someday lists:** Undated lists for goals and bucket lists sit below the daily lists and are grouped in tabs. A someday list can be shared through a link, read-only.
- **Focus mode:** A single-column view that shows only the current day's list, with a choice of backgrounds and a timer for a work session.
- **Daily Digest email:** An optional email with the day's to-dos, sent at a time you choose. Replying to the email adds to-dos to that day's list.

## Good for

- People who want a to-do list that works like a paper planner
- Planning day by day without alerts or notifications
- Phone-only users, since the iOS and Android apps are free

## Worth knowing

- The web app needs a subscription after the 7-day trial; without one the website reverts to read-only.
- To-dos have no alerts or reminders by design; the only notification is the optional Daily Digest email.
- An internet connection is required to use TeuxDeux.
- Shared lists are read-only for viewers, and the App Store listing is for iPhone only.

## What people say

- **App Store rating of the iPhone and iPad app:** 4.8 out of 5 from 2,688 ratings in the United States, read Oct 5, 2026. This is the store's rating of the app, not a score from ToolGPA. Source: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id384291782
