# Weesper Neon Flow

> Offline dictation for Mac and Windows that runs Whisper on-device

Weesper Neon Flow is a dictation app for macOS and Windows that runs Whisper speech recognition on the computer, so audio and dictated text are not sent to a cloud service. Hold a shortcut, speak, and release, and cleaned-up text is inserted at the cursor in the app you are using. After a 15-day trial it continues on a limited free plan unless you pay monthly, yearly or once for a lifetime license.

## Ways to pay less

- **Save 25% with the annual plan** (Annual discount): The annual plan costs €45 a year, about €3.75 a month, against €5 billed monthly. The site describes it as a 25% saving, or 3 months free. Source: https://weesperneonflow.ai/en/
- **Lifetime license for €99** (Lifetime license): A one-time payment of €99, taxes included, gives permanent access with all future updates and no renewal. The terms of sale say later price changes do not affect it. Source: https://weesperneonflow.ai/en/cgv/
- **Free lifetime license for creators** (Other savings): The Creator Program gives a lifetime license to people who publish an agreed review, tutorial or post about the app and disclose the arrangement. There is no minimum follower count. Source: https://weesperneonflow.ai/en/creators/

## Key features

- **Hold, speak, release:** Hold a configurable shortcut, speak, and release it; the text is inserted at the cursor in supported text fields in Gmail, Slack, Notion, Word and browsers. A toggle mode is also available.
- **On-device Whisper models:** Recognition runs locally through whisper.cpp with no account. The default Small model is 512 MB, with Medium at 1.5 GB and Large at 3.2 GB, and it works offline once a model is installed.
- **Automatic cleanup:** Punctuation and capitalization are applied to every dictation, and common filler words such as "uh" and "um" can be removed before the text is inserted.
- **50+ languages and translation:** The spoken language is detected automatically among a main and secondary languages you set. You can also speak in one language and receive the text in another.
- **Writing Style presets:** An Output Style preset shapes tone and structure, for example a literal or a more formal result. Custom slots take short instructions of your own, such as a professional field.
- **Custom dictionary and text shortcuts:** Add names, brands and jargon with auto-correct rules, use trigger phrases to insert line breaks, and set up text shortcuts. Both lists can be exported to another computer. Locked on Free Lite.

## Good for

- People who want dictation processed entirely on their own computer
- Users who work on both Mac and Windows under one license
- Multilingual writers who speak one language and need text in another

## Worth knowing

- Free Lite is limited to 1,500 words a week and 60 seconds per dictation, and it locks the dictionary and snippets.
- Prices are listed in euros only, and a plan is chosen inside the app after downloading rather than on the website.
- Text appears only after the shortcut is released, and the vendor recommends segments of 30 to 60 seconds. File transcription is a separate Mac app, Weesper Transcribe.
- There are no mobile or Linux apps, and Intel or AMD computers need a processor with AVX2 support.
