WiseFax lets you pay per fax with tokens, usually $1 a page, from apps and add-ons on most devices, and adds a US or Canadian number for $8 a month. There's nothing free to try, numbers come from two countries only, and at a dollar a page, regular sending costs far more than a plan. - **Value for money: C.** A number is $8 a month for up to 300 received pages and 10 send tokens, or $4.25 a week, in the middle of this category. Sending is $1 a token, usually one a page, against the 3 to 20 cents other services charge per page over a plan. - **Free plan and trial: F.** Nothing free: no free plan or trial is listed. You pay for each fax before it goes, and only for faxes that go through. - **Features: C.** Pay-per-fax sending, your own or a ported US or Canadian number, form filling, signatures, redaction, page clean-up, cover pages, email to fax and retries. The gaps: numbers in two countries only, and no API, team accounts or BAA on record. - **Ease of use: B.** No store rating on record. Sending needs no plan or account setup: you upload, pick the country, see the price and confirm. - **Platforms and integrations: A.** Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android and web, with Chrome, Edge and Firefox extensions and add-ons for Gmail, Google Docs, Drive, Office 365, Word, Box and Dropbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one. That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 6 of the 10 other online fax services grade higher. It costs $96 a year. - You could not: Fax numbers connected to the phone network. - You could not: Editing the text inside a PDF without breaking its layout. - You could not: Apps for macOS, Windows, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other. - You could not: It plugs into other products, Gmail, Google Docs and Google Drive among them.
