# Wix > Drag-and-drop website builder with an AI agent and business apps Wix is a hosted website builder with a free plan, thousands of templates and an editor, Wix Harmony, that mixes drag-and-drop layout with an AI agent called Aria. Paid plans connect a custom domain, remove Wix ads and add storage, while Core and higher plans take payments and run an online store, bookings and events. An app market adds features from Wix and other companies. - **Category:** Website & Landing Page Builders - **Made by:** Wix.com, Inc. (since 2006) - **Website:** https://www.wix.com - **Runs on:** Web, iOS, Android - **Facts last checked:** Oct 17, 2026 ## Pricing Wix has a free plan. Paid plans start at $17 per site / month, billed yearly (Light). - **Pricing model:** Free plan - **Free plan:** Build and publish on a wixsite.com address with Wix branding, 500 MB of storage and 500 MB of bandwidth. A custom domain needs a paid plan. - **Free trial:** None listed. | Plan | Price | What you get | | --- | --- | --- | | Free | $0 | A Wix subdomain, Wix branding on the site, 500 MB of storage and bandwidth, the full editor and templates. | | Light | $17 per site / month, billed yearly | Custom domain, free domain for a year, no Wix ads, 2 GB of storage, a light marketing suite and 2 collaborators. Monthly plans do not include it. Source: https://support.wix.com/en/article/purchasing-a-monthly-premium-plan ## Key features - **Wix Harmony editor and Aria:** The editor mixes drag-and-drop layout with Aria, an AI agent that turns a written idea into sections, pages or custom components you can then edit. It is included on every plan, free included. - **Templates and design tools:** Start from thousands of templates or from AI, then adjust the design without code. Paid plans remove Wix branding and connect your own domain. - **Payments and online store:** Core and higher plans accept payments and run a store, with standard and advanced commerce tools on Business and Business Elite. Light cannot take payments. - **Bookings, events and restaurants:** Scheduling and services come with Core and higher. Further business solutions cover ticketed events, online programs, restaurant orders and hotel reservations. - **App market:** Add marketing, accounting, social and store apps from Wix and other developers, such as QuickBooks Online, TikTok Ads and Instagram feeds. - **Developer platform and headless:** Business Elite adds the advanced developer platform, and Wix Headless lets a custom front end run on Wix's back end and business tools. ## Good for - Beginners who want to start free and upgrade when the site is ready - Small businesses that take bookings, sell tickets or run a small store - People who want an AI agent to draft pages they can still edit by hand ## Worth knowing - Light has no online payments; selling anything needs Core at $29 a month or higher. - Monthly billing exists, but Wix's pages show only yearly prices, and monthly plans come without the free domain voucher or premium apps. - Each plan upgrades a single site, so running several sites means buying a plan for each. - There is no free trial of paid plans; Wix offers a 14-day money-back guarantee instead. ## ToolGPA grades **GPA: 2.8 out of 4**, graded Oct 17, 2026. Wix does more out of the box than almost anything else here: a shop, bookings, events, even restaurant orders, plus an AI agent that drafts pages for you. The catch comes when you want paying: Light at $17 a month can't take a single payment, and Wix's own blog points small businesses to Core at $29 on yearly billing. - **Value for money: C.** Light is $17 a month for one site on yearly billing, with your own domain, no Wix ads and 2 GB, so it sits mid-range for this category. But it can't take payments or bookings, and Wix's own blog points small businesses to Core at $29, where this category's dearest tenth starts. - **Free plan and trial: C.** There's a free plan with the full editor and the AI agent, but it runs on a Wix address with Wix ads and 500 MB of storage. Fine for trying ideas, not for a business. Paid plans have no trial, just a 14-day money-back guarantee. - **Features: A.** The widest set of built-in business tools in this category: a store, bookings, events, restaurant orders and hotel reservations, an AI agent called Aria, an app market and a headless developer platform. Few rivals come close. - **Ease of use: B.** 4.58 from about 16,800 App Store ratings. Thousands of templates and Aria drafting sections from a sentence make the start easy, though with this much in it there's more to find your way around than in a simpler builder. - **Platforms and integrations: B.** Web, iPhone and Android, with an app market of Wix and outside apps such as QuickBooks Online and TikTok Ads, plus an API and Wix Headless. No desktop app, so not an A. These are ToolGPA's own grades. Graded from this listing, whose facts were read from Wix's own pages on 17 October 2026, and its App Store rating. Its prices come from Wix's own blog post, which gives them as US prices as of 21 January 2026. Not based on using the product, and shorter than our full reviews. ## Where it stands among website and landing page builders - Wix's GPA of 2.8 is higher than 29 of the 30 other website and landing page builders we grade. - It stands best on features (A, above 29 of 30) and worst on value for money (C, above 2). - Its paid plans start at $17 a month, against a middle price of $14 for the category: 16 of the 29 others that charge start lower. - On features, ease of use and platforms it scores 3.3 out of 4. 1 tool scores higher and costs less. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one. It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.8 is higher than 29 of the 30 other website and landing page builders we grade. It costs $204 a year. - You could make: Templates: an app builder makes this well. - You could not: An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. - You could not: A builder that other people can use without writing code. - You could not: A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page. - You could not: It plugs into other products, QuickBooks Online, TikTok Ads and Instagram among them, and has an API. - You could not: The depth: we grade its features A, which means it covers the whole job. A judgement by ToolGPA from this listing, by rules that are the same for every tool. Nothing was built to test it. ## What people say - **App Store rating of the iPhone and iPad app:** 4.6 out of 5 from 16,844 ratings in the United States, read Oct 17, 2026. This is the store's rating of the app, not a score from ToolGPA.
