Notre top trois des services de stockage et de synchronisation de fichiers

These three suit different people more than they compete. Google Drive comes first: 15 GB free with a Google account, documents edited together in the browser, and about 7.8 million ratings for its app. MEGA is second for people who want files encrypted on their own device, with 20 GB free and a Linux app. Microsoft OneDrive is third for people who use the Office apps. Dropbox narrowly missed: it has a Linux app, but its free plan is 2 GB and paid plans start at $9.99 a month, billed yearly. Proton Drive is encrypted too, with 5 GB free. iCloud suits Apple devices and lists no Android app.

  1. Premier: Google Drive

    Formule gratuite · à partir de $1.99/mois

    Pour : Most people

Google Drive gives every Google account 15 GB at no cost, and Docs, Sheets and Slides files can be edited together in the browser. It runs on the web, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, and its iPhone and iPad app averages 4.8 from about 7.8 million ratings. More space starts at $1.99 a month for 100 GB, the price on the US App Store. Know the limits: the free 15 GB is shared with Gmail and Google Photos, there is no desktop app for Linux, and shared drives and client-side encryption are premium features of some Workspace Business and Enterprise plans, which are sold separately.

  2. Deuxième: MEGA

    Formule gratuite · à partir de €3.33/mois

Pour : People who want encrypted storage and more free space

MEGA encrypts files on your device before they are uploaded, and says only you and the people you authorize hold the keys. Its Free plan gives 20 GB, against 15 GB on Google Drive, and it runs on the web, Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android. Its iPhone and iPad app averages 4.6 from about 108,000 ratings, and paid plans start at €3.33 a month, charged yearly, for 200 GB. It is second because it stores and shares files but its listing has no document editing, where Google Drive edits Docs and Office files in place. Downloads count against a transfer quota, which is limited on the Free plan, and prices are set and charged in euros.

  3. Troisième: Microsoft OneDrive

    Formule gratuite · à partir de $1.99/mois

Pour : People who use Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and families

OneDrive comes with a Microsoft account: 5 GB free, or 100 GB with Microsoft 365 Basic at $1.99 a month. Microsoft 365 Personal, at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, gives 1 TB with the desktop Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook apps, and Family, at $12.99 a month, covers up to 6 people, who share 2 TB on subscriptions started since 7 October 2026. It runs on the web, Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, and its iPhone and iPad app averages 4.7 from about 488,000 ratings. It is third because its free plan is 5 GB, a quarter of MEGA's, no Linux client is listed, and home plans jump from 100 GB to 1 TB with no tier in between.

Pourriez-vous faire le vôtre ?

File storage is disks in a data centre and software that never loses a file. You can rent the disks. Sync that copes with every conflict is the product.

Questions fréquentes

Quels sont les meilleurs services de stockage et de synchronisation de fichiers ?

Au 6 oct. 2026, ToolGPA classe Google Drive en premier (pour : most people), MEGA en deuxième (pour : people who want encrypted storage and more free space), Microsoft OneDrive en troisième (pour : people who use Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and families).
