On vendors' own websites

We read 494 pricing pages from 8 countries. 472 showed the same prices in all of them.

These 22 showed a visitor in at least one country different prices from the ones they show in the United States: another currency, another amount, or both. Each name goes to what its page showed in each country.

Each vendor’s pricing page was read by a script from a data centre in each country, and from a home connection in India. A site does not always show a data centre what it shows a person at home there. Different prices are not always lower ones: many pages only switch currency.

Lower prices that vendors state themselves

39 tools say on their own pricing pages that they charge less in certain countries, or price by where the buyer lives. Each is listed with the page that states it.

How to read this

Why does the same app cost less in some countries?
The maker sets a price for each country's store, or lets Apple set it from the United States price. Many makers charge less where incomes are lower, so that the app is affordable there. Others keep one price everywhere, and currency moves then push the local price above or below the dollar one.
Can I pay another country's price?
A store's prices are for accounts registered in that country, with a payment method from there. This page is for people who live in these countries and for anyone comparing how software is priced. It is not a way around a store's or a vendor's terms.
Are these the prices on the vendor's website?
No. These are App Store prices, for the app itself or for a subscription bought inside it. The price on a vendor's own website is often lower, and each tool's pricing page here lists that one with its source.
How are the dollar amounts worked out?
Each local price is converted at the European Central Bank's reference rate of Oct 8, 2026. Prices outside the United States usually include sales tax such as VAT or GST, and United States prices do not, so part of any gap is tax.
Which price is compared for each app?
The first thing the app's United States listing sells that the other country's listing sells under the same name: the app itself if it is paid, otherwise its first in-app purchase. A listing puts its most-bought purchase first.

ToolGPA copies these figures from each store’s public listing with a script. Nothing here is an estimate.
