Privacy
ToolGPA is built to know as little about you as it can. You can read every page without an account, there are no advertising cookies and no analytics service is watching.
What is recorded when you visit
We count how many times each tool’s page is viewed and how many times someone clicks through to the vendor’s website. These are totals per tool per day. They do not say who you are.
So that one person is counted once a day, our server makes a scrambled code from your internet address, your browser’s name, the date and a secret of ours. The code cannot be turned back into your address, it is different every day, and it is deleted within two days. Your address itself is never saved in our database.
Your browser also keeps a small note for each tool page you open, so a page is not counted twice in one sitting. It lives in the tab’s own storage, is never sent to us and is gone when you close the tab.
What is not here
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no third-party analytics. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or share information about them.
Other companies involved
The site is served by Vercel and its database is kept by Supabase in the United States. Like any web host, Vercel sees the internet address of each request and keeps short-lived logs of them.
Most pictures are served from this site. For a tool whose logo we do not hold, your browser fetches a small icon from Google’s icon service, and Google receives that request as it would any other.
When you click through to a vendor, its website can see that you came from ToolGPA. A link marked “Partner link” also tells the vendor that we sent you, and the vendor or the network that runs its program may set its own cookie on its own website. Their privacy policies apply there, not ours. How partner links work is on the page on how we make money.
If you sign in as a vendor
Signing in is only for companies managing their own listing. We then keep the email address you sign in with and what you send us: which listing you claimed, the corrections you proposed and any plan you asked about. The sign-in code is emailed to you through Supabase.
Staying signed in uses three cookies that do nothing else. They are set only when you sign in, and they are removed when you sign out.
Asking about your information
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@example.com. For a visitor who has never signed in there is nothing that can be tied to you. For a vendor account we will delete the account and everything sent from it.
