How we grade them
| 3.0GPABusiness Calendar 2Very good | 3.8GPAOne CalendarExcellent | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | BWe can't tell you what Pro costs, because Appgenix's site doesn't say. Google Play shows in-app purchases from $1.49 to $8.99 per item with no billing period. Cheap at either end, but unclear, so it gets a B and not an A. | APremium is $5.99, paid once. Most paid calendar apps charge about that every month. You do buy it per platform group, so Android, iOS and Windows are separate licenses, and the Microsoft Store page doesn't show its price. |
| Free plan and trial | AFree gets month, week, day, agenda, year and task views, the widgets, up to 5 reminders per event, voice input and Google Tasks sync. It has ads. Most people could stay here and never feel short. | AThe free version has all five views, every supported calendar type, invitations and recurrences. Most people could stop there. It syncs 6 months of past appointments and leaves out search, theming and appointment colours. |
| Features | AA week view that stretches from 1 to 14 days, a year view with a heat map of busy days, seven widgets with over 50 options, and tasks beside events. Pro adds templates, drag and drop, multi-selection, weather and print to PDF. | BIt connects Google, Outlook, Office 365, Exchange, iCloud, Yahoo, Nextcloud and other CalDAV servers, with day, week, month, year and list views, and it works offline. A good plain calendar. But search is Premium, and printing is a Windows-only extra. |
| Ease of use | BThere's no App Store rating to go on, as it isn't on iPhone. It uses the calendars Android already syncs, so there's no new account to set up, and you can speak events in English, German, French or Japanese. | A4.8 from about 21,000 App Store ratings. Connect your accounts and they show up together, with a quick filter to narrow things down by calendar colour. |
| Platforms and integrations | DAndroid only, which does include Chromebooks and Wear OS watches. No iOS, desktop or web app is listed. It reads Google, Outlook, Exchange and CalDAV calendars through the device. | AAndroid, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows, connecting to a long list of calendar services, any CalDAV server included. No web or Linux version is listed. |
| Best for | Android users who want more views and widgets | all your calendar accounts in one plain view |
