Who each one suits

Latenode

  • Workflows with many steps, since steps do not add to the bill
  • Developers who want JavaScript and NPM packages in a visual builder
  • Automating websites that have no API with the headless browser

Make

  • Building multi-step, branching automations on a visual canvas
  • Individuals and small teams that want unlimited scenarios at a low entry price
  • Trying automation on a free plan with no time limit

Worth knowing

Latenode

  • Free is limited to 5 active scenarios, 1 worker, 3-minute runs, 3 days of history and a 10-minute trigger interval.
  • Polling faster than every 10 minutes, runs longer than 10 minutes and files over 16 MB are paid add-ons, priced from $5 to $70 a month.
  • Built-in AI models and other paid provider nodes are billed in Plug-n-Play tokens at $1 each, on top of runtime charges.
  • Inviting teammates to a workspace is listed as a Pay as you go benefit, not part of Free.

Make

  • The Free plan allows only 2 active scenarios and 1,000 credits a month, with at least 15 minutes between scheduled runs.
  • Credits expire at the end of each term, and extra credits cost 25% more than those included in the plan.
  • Teams and roles, custom variables and enterprise apps are not part of the Free plan.
  • The $9 price applies to annual billing; the pricing page says annual billing saves 15% or more over monthly.

Key features

Latenode

Visual builder with code nodes
Workflows are built on a drag-and-drop canvas, and any node can be switched to JavaScript with NPM packages. An AI code copilot writes, explains and debugs the code.
AI Assistant
Describe an automation in plain English and the assistant produces the nodes, connections and JavaScript for it. Ready-made templates cover common workflows.
AI agents and RAG
An AI Agent node reasons over a task and calls other nodes as tools. RAG storage grounds agents in your documents; one storage is included and more are an add-on.
Headless browser
A built-in headless browser automates sites that have no API, covering scraping, form filling, screenshots and other UI flows. It is included on every plan.
Built-in AI models
Latenode offers 335+ LLMs without separate API keys. Nodes that use paid providers are marked with a $ icon and charged in Plug-n-Play tokens, at $1 per token.
Runtime-based billing
Cost is runs multiplied by average seconds per run, and the number of nodes does not add to it. Latenode's example: 100,000 CPU seconds in a month costs $10.80.

Make

Visual scenario builder
Scenarios are built by placing app modules on a canvas and linking them with routers and filters, so branching logic is visible at a glance.
3,000+ pre-built apps
Make lists more than 3,000 app integrations, among them OpenAI, HubSpot, Salesforce and Slack. Access to enterprise apps comes with the paid plan.
Credit-based billing
Most module actions use 1 credit. The paid plan starts at 5,000 credits a month, and extra credits are sold in bundles of 1,000 or 10,000 at 25% more than plan credits.
AI agents, Maia and MCP
AI agents can be built to orchestrate workflows, Maia builds automations from a conversation, and the Make MCP server lets outside AI assistants trigger scenarios.
Make Grid
Make Grid gives a map of an organization's scenarios and how they connect, to keep a large automation setup under control.
Teams, variables and API
The paid plan adds teams and team roles, custom variables, full-text search of execution logs and access to more than 300 Make API endpoints.
