Value for money
BWe can't put a number on it. Every page except the home page refused automated readers, so no price is on record. A B is where we put a tool whose paid side the listing can't describe.
ARight now it costs nothing. A Pro plan is shown at $4.90 a month but marked coming soon, and its features are free until it launches. That price would sit about level with the category's typical $4.99.
Free plan and trial
CIt's listed as a paid product, and nothing on record says if there's a trial or how long one would run. So this is the grade we give when a listing can't say.
AUnlimited entries, all the standard modules and sync on unlimited devices, free. The warning is in the docs: Focus, Insights and other Pro features will leave free accounts once Pro goes on sale.
Features
BOne job, done fully: a live word count that tells you when you pass 750, autosave, points and streaks, and stats on how fast you wrote and how often you got distracted. No titles, tags or comments, on purpose. These details come from the original site, and sign-ups now go to a newer version.
BBulleted days with #tags, @mentions and highlights, plus modules for dreams, notes, quotes, ideas and goals. Reflect shows you yesterday, a year ago and a random old entry. But nothing can be imported, end-to-end encryption is only planned, and the site's news page has no post after January 2024.
Ease of use
BNo App Store rating on record, so B is as high as we go. There's one page to write on, it scrolls like a typewriter and it saves as you type.
BNo App Store rating on record, so B is as high as we go. A day is a handful of short bullets, which is hard to get wrong. Any module you don't want can be switched off.
Platforms and integrations
CA website and nothing else. The pages that could be read mention no phone app, no desktop app and no integrations.
CA web app that you install from the browser on phones and desktops. There's no App Store app, the Google Play listing the site links to wasn't found when checked, and it connects to nothing else.

Key features

750 Words

A daily 750-word target
Three standard pages at 250 words each come to 750 words, the amount the site asks you to write each day, following the morning pages exercise.
Private by design
The original site describes the writing as all online and private. It is not blogging: entries are not titled, tagged or opened to comments.
Live word count and autosave
The page counts words as you write and tells you when you pass 750. It scrolls as you type, like a typewriter, and saves your writing as you go.
Points and streaks
Each month starts from zero. Writing anything earns 1 point, 750 words or more earns 2, and consecutive days earn more. You can see how other writers are scoring.
Writing statistics
Each day's writing produces stats, such as how fast you wrote and how often you were distracted, plus an analysis of the feelings, themes and mindset in the words.

Journalistic

Bulleted micro entries
Each day is logged as a few short bullet points instead of long paragraphs, which the vendor describes as a bullet journal with a low word count.
Tags, people and highlights
A #tag marks an activity and an @mention marks a person, and tapping a bullet marks it as a highlight. Tags and mentions are visible only to you.
Optional modules
Dreams, Notes, Wisdom (quotes and lessons), Ideas and Focus (a prioritized goal list) sit beside the daily log, and each module can be switched off.
Reflect
A customizable stream shows yesterday's entry, the past week's notable items, the entry from one year ago and a random older entry called Memory lane.
Insights
Statistics, timelines and charts are compiled from your entries, such as words per day or which weekdays you dream most. It is marked as a Pro feature and is free for now.
Data export
All journal data can be downloaded from the Account page as plain text, Markdown or JSON. The JSON file carries most of the metadata.
