• Free-plan AI credits do not refresh: accounts start with 400 and earn 200 more per referral. Paid plans get monthly credits, from 1,000 on Plus to 20,000 on Ultra.
• API keys, detailed viewer analytics, password protection and custom domains start at the Pro plan, and Ultra is sold on monthly billing only.
• The mobile apps are in early access, limited to the US and Canada, and edit only through the agent, with no manual editing.

Napkin AI

• The Free plan gives 500 AI credits a week, puts Napkin branding on visuals and exports only PNG and PDF.
• Unused AI credits do not carry over, and generating a visual costs roughly 1 credit per word selected.
• Napkin runs only in a browser and needs an internet connection; the vendor says there is no offline mode.

Gamma

Generate, paste or import

Three ways to start: generate a draft from a topic, paste existing text for Gamma to lay out, or import a PowerPoint, Word or PDF file or a URL to be restyled.

Agent

The agent asks about goal and audience, shows a plan to approve, then researches, writes, designs and adds images. Changes are requested in plain language in the same chat.

Present mode

Decks are presented full screen or in a tab, with a presenter view for private speaker notes, a spotlight mode that highlights the current block, and a follow link viewers can use to keep pace.

Export and import

Exports to PDF, PNG and PowerPoint, with tables kept editable in PPTX. Imports accept PowerPoint and Word files up to 200 MB and PDFs up to 100 MB.

Sites and custom domains

A gamma can be published as a website. Pro can publish up to 10 multi-page sites to custom domains, and Ultra and Business up to 100.

API and connectors

A REST API, generally available since November 2025, creates gammas from text or templates on Pro and higher plans. ChatGPT, Claude and Slack connectors work on every plan.

Napkin AI

Visuals generated from text

Napkin works from pasted or imported text rather than a prompt. Selecting a passage produces several candidate visuals, and the user picks the one that fits.

Editable results

A generated visual can be restyled and taken apart: wording, colors and individual elements can all be changed, and editing is unlimited on every plan.

Brand styles and fonts

Brand colors and fonts are set up in Brand Studio. Plus allows 3 brand styles, while Pro allows unlimited custom branding and uploaded fonts.

Import and export

PPT, DOC, PDF, HTML and Markdown files can be imported on every plan. PNG and PDF export are free, and PowerPoint and SVG export need Plus or Pro.

Slides (beta)

Napkin Slides builds full presentations with an AI agent. The vendor says it is covered by the Free, Plus and Pro plans with no separate charge.

API

A REST API returns a visual for submitted text as SVG, PNG or PPT and works with Make and n8n. Any plan can create a token; credits, rate limits and watermarks vary by plan.
