Who each one suits
Make
- Building multi-step, branching automations on a visual canvas
- Individuals and small teams that want unlimited scenarios at a low entry price
- Trying automation on a free plan with no time limit
Unito
- Teams keeping tasks or tickets aligned across two tools, such as Jira and Asana
- Support and development teams escalating tickets between systems
- Companies that want records updated in both directions, not copied one way
Worth knowing
Make
- The Free plan allows only 2 active scenarios and 1,000 credits a month, with at least 15 minutes between scheduled runs.
- Credits expire at the end of each term, and extra credits cost 25% more than those included in the plan.
- Teams and roles, custom variables and enterprise apps are not part of the Free plan.
- The $9 price applies to annual billing; the pricing page says annual billing saves 15% or more over monthly.
Unito
- Unito does not publish prices: self-serve plan prices appear in the app during the trial, and Enterprise is quoted by sales.
- Premium connectors such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite and Jira Data Center are limited to Enterprise plans.
- An item synced between two tools counts as two items in sync, and a workspace that stays over its limit is upgraded automatically.
- There is no free plan. The trial does not sync closed work items.
Key features
Make
- Visual scenario builder
- Scenarios are built by placing app modules on a canvas and linking them with routers and filters, so branching logic is visible at a glance.
- 3,000+ pre-built apps
- Make lists more than 3,000 app integrations, among them OpenAI, HubSpot, Salesforce and Slack. Access to enterprise apps comes with the paid plan.
- Credit-based billing
- Most module actions use 1 credit. The paid plan starts at 5,000 credits a month, and extra credits are sold in bundles of 1,000 or 10,000 at 25% more than plan credits.
- AI agents, Maia and MCP
- AI agents can be built to orchestrate workflows, Maia builds automations from a conversation, and the Make MCP server lets outside AI assistants trigger scenarios.
- Make Grid
- Make Grid gives a map of an organization's scenarios and how they connect, to keep a large automation setup under control.
- Teams, variables and API
- The paid plan adds teams and team roles, custom variables, full-text search of execution logs and access to more than 300 Make API endpoints.
Unito
- Two-way sync flows
- A flow connects two tools and copies changes in both directions, so one flow stands in for the separate triggers and actions an automation builder would need.
- Rules
- Rules set which items sync, when and where, using filters and conditions. They can include existing items, so past records are brought across as well as new ones.
- Field and user mapping
- Fields are mapped between tools by hand or automatically, including custom fields, with a direction for each one. Users are mapped so assignments stay with the right person.
- Comments, attachments and hierarchies
- Unito syncs comments, attachments, subtasks and parent-child links between items of different types. The 14-day trial shows attachments as links to the source tool.
- Live updates through webhooks
- Webhooks are configured automatically to push changes in under a minute. The self-serve Basic and Pro plans are described as updating every 5 to 15 minutes.
- Developer Platform
- A toolkit for building a private or public connector for any tool with an API, using JavaScript, so it can sync with every other Unito connector. Listed under Enterprise.
