Who each one suits
Quitzilla
- People quitting smoking, drinking or another habit who want a running count
- Seeing the money and time saved since a quit date
- Users who want no sign-up and their data kept on the phone
Way of Life
- People who want to log many habits in a few taps a day
- Tracking habits to break alongside habits to build
- Spotting long-term trends through charts rather than streaks alone
Worth knowing
Quitzilla
- The free version tracks up to two habits; unlimited habits, widgets, charts, custom colors, CSV export and app lock need Premium.
- The free Android version shows ads, and Google Play lists in-app purchases at $4.99 to $29.99 per item, so Android prices differ from the App Store amounts shown here.
- No account or sync: data moves to a new phone through the phone's own backup, a Premium CSV export or, on Android, a Premium Google Drive backup.
- The App Store listing is marked only for iPhone and requires iOS 26.0 or later. There is no iPad, web or desktop version.
Way of Life
- The free version limits the number of habits, and the store listings do not state the limit.
- The App Store lists Premium at $4.99, $14.99 and $29.99 without saying which is monthly, yearly or one-time.
- iOS and Android data formats are not interchangeable; the vendor offers a manual conversion on request.
- Apps are listed for iPhone and Android only; no web or desktop version is listed.
Key features
Quitzilla
- Abstinence timer and milestones
- Each habit has a timer that counts to the second from the quit date, with a ring showing progress to the next time-based goal, from one day up to several years.
- Money and time saved
- You enter what the habit cost per day, week or month and the minutes it took, and the app multiplies that by the time since you quit.
- Rewards from savings
- A reward is given a name and a price, and the app shows how close the money saved is to paying for it.
- Reasons to quit and daily quote
- A list of your own reasons, with suggestions when a habit is set up, can be opened when a craving hits. A quote of the day is shown as well.
- Relapse diary
- A relapse is logged in the diary with a note. The current timer restarts, while relapse history and records such as the longest streak are kept.
- Widgets, charts and app lock
- Premium adds Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets on iPhone, charts of each stretch and its savings, and a lock using Face ID, Touch ID or a fingerprint.
Way of Life
- Color-coded daily tracking
- Each day is marked green or red for every habit. The vendor says updating takes less than a minute a day.
- Chains and scoreboard
- Chains challenge you not to break a streak, and a scoreboard gives weekly and monthly feedback.
- Charts
- Pie charts, bar graphs with trend lines and a frequency distribution chart show positive and negative trends over weeks, months or years.
- Notes and reminders
- A note can record what went well or what triggered a bad habit, and reminders support flexible schedules and custom messages.
- Lock, backup and export
- The iOS app can be locked with a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, backed up to a cloud storage provider of your choice, and exported as CSV, Excel or JSON.
- Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts
- The iOS app adds widgets, Siri and Shortcuts support, and URL schemes for working with other apps.
