Value for money
BWe can't tell you what it costs. The terms say usage beyond the free limits is charged, but the prices only appear in the app's settings and couldn't be read for this listing. With no price on record, it stops at a B. The terms also say no refunds when you cancel.
AYou pay once: $39 for Standard, $79 for Extended or $99 for Premium, with a 14-day money-back guarantee. Even the top licence costs less than a year of a typical AI subscription. API use isn't included, so you still pay each provider per token.
Free plan and trial
BThe terms of service say it's free up to certain usage limits. Those limits are shown only in the app's settings, so we can't tell you how far free goes. When your quota runs dry, you wait for the refill.
BIt's free with your own API key, and stays free. But chat history isn't saved and a reminder popup appears every few minutes, which is tight. Fine for a look around, not for living in.
Features
BModels from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, with others through OpenRouter, and you set the model and its reasoning effort per chat. Add web search, PDF and image attachments, profiles and temporary chats. The listing shows no image generation, voice or agent tools.
AMore than 50 built-in agents plus your own, a prompt library, plugins, MCP connectors, and a knowledge base fed from uploads, GitHub, Google Drive and Notion. Premium sends one prompt to several models and lines the answers up. Local models work through Ollama or LM Studio.
Ease of use
BIt's a chat window in a browser, with nothing to install. The usage meter takes a minute to get: one bucket refills every 4 hours, and a second on your monthly renewal date. There's no rating on record to go by, so a B.
CNothing happens until you've got an API key from each AI provider you want and added it. After that it's a chat window in your browser. There's no rating on record to go by, and picking between three licences takes some reading.
Platforms and integrations
CA web app, and that's all the pages we could read describe. No desktop or phone apps are mentioned, and the listing shows no API and nothing that hooks it up to your other tools.
BIt runs in a browser and installs as a PWA, with no native apps. It connects to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter and Ollama for models, and to Google Drive, Notion and GitHub for your documents. One licence key works on up to 5 devices.

Worth knowing

T3 Chat

  • Prices and usage limits are shown only in the app's settings page and could not be read for this listing.
  • Usage is metered: long threads, attachments, search and costlier models drain the quota faster, and when both buckets are empty you wait for a refill.
  • The terms of service say no refunds are given when you cancel your account.
  • The pages that could be read describe a web app only; no desktop or mobile apps are mentioned.

TypingMind

  • License prices do not include API costs: you need your own key from each AI provider and pay that provider for usage.
  • Without a license, chat history is not saved and a popup appears every few minutes.
  • There are no native apps; it runs in a browser and installs as a PWA. Each license key works on up to 5 devices.
  • TypingMind Cloud sync is not included with a license, and team workspaces are a separate product that the docs list from $99 per month for 5 seats.

Key features

T3 Chat

Models from several providers
Runs models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google and routes others through OpenRouter. The model and its reasoning effort are chosen per chat.
Web search
Search can be switched on for a chat so that answers draw on more recent results, with between 1 and 5 search queries or tool calls allowed per run.
Two-bucket usage meter
Usage is spent from a Base bucket that refills every 4 hours, then from an Overage bucket that refills on the monthly renewal date. Settings show each as its own percentage bar.
File and image attachments
Prompts can include uploaded PDF files, images and text files. Large or numerous attachments raise what a message costs against the usage meter.
Profiles and temporary chats
A chat can be started under a named profile, or as a temporary chat that is not kept as a saved thread. A /new URL with query parameters presets the prompt, model and search setting.
Training opt-outs
T3 Chat says it does not train its own models and has opted out of training-data collection with its providers where possible. Models that require training are labeled.

TypingMind

Bring your own API keys
Requests go straight from the browser to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and 20 or so other providers, or to local models through Ollama or LM Studio. Each provider bills you per token.
Multi-model parallel chats
Send one prompt to several models at once and compare the replies side by side. This is part of the Premium license.
AI agents and prompt library
More than 50 built-in agents, your own agents with custom instructions and knowledge, and a prompt library with templates and variables.
Plugins and MCP connectors
A plugin marketplace, custom JavaScript plugins and MCP servers add tools such as web search, image generation and deep research.
Knowledge base and documents
Upload PDF, Word, Excel and Markdown files to a chat, or connect uploaded files, GitHub, Google Drive, Notion and scraped web pages as a knowledge base.
Local storage with optional sync
Chats, keys and settings stay in the browser by default. TypingMind Cloud is an opt-in sync service with up to 50 MB of free storage and paid upgrades.
