Every purchase is non-refundable, so try a month before a year
ChatPDF's terms say all purchases are non-refundable. You can cancel any time by logging in, and it stops at the end of the term you've paid for. The yearly plan is the better price, but only once you know you'll keep using it.

Paste text or a link with Ctrl+V instead of uploading a file
Its PDF AI page says you can press Ctrl+V to paste text or a link straight in. Handy for a chunk copied from an email or a web page you'd otherwise have to save as a file first.

You can make a link to a PDF so others can read it without an account. They see the document you shared, not your conversation with it, so your questions stay yours.

Ask in your own language about a paper in another
ChatPDF says it takes documents in any language and chats in any language, and you can upload in one and ask in another. So a Spanish report can be questioned in English, or the other way round, without translating it first.

Privacy
The iPhone app's privacy label lists tracking
Its App Store listing says identifiers, such as your user ID, are used to track you and linked to you for third-party advertising. If that bothers you, say no when iOS asks to allow tracking, or use the website.

Leaving
Delete your files yourself before you close the account
You can delete files and chats at any time. Its privacy policy says closing an account removes it from active databases, but some information may be kept to prevent fraud or meet legal duties. Clearing your documents first is the surer way.
