Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.2
GPA, above 2 of the 15 other antivirus apps we grade
Falcon Go is CrowdStrike's entry bundle for small and medium businesses, built on the same Falcon agent its larger customers use. It combines AI-based antivirus for Windows, Mac and Linux computers with control over USB storage devices and protection for iOS and Android phones, managed from one console. It is priced per device and sold for up to 100 devices.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about CrowdStrike Falcon Go, taken from its own pages and our grades.
You do still put the agent on each machine.

And there's no VPN or password manager in it.

As its pricing page puts it: $59.99 per device / year, billed annually ($7.99 per device billed monthly).

The report card
Best for small businesses with no IT person
Falcon Go is CrowdStrike's small-business antivirus: the same agent its big customers run, switched on with sensible defaults, plus control over USB sticks and protection for company phones. It's priced per device, $59.99 a year each, so five devices cost far more than a home suite. And there's no VPN or password manager in it.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | D | $59.99 a device a year, or $7.99 a month. We judge antivirus on five devices over two years, and that's $599.90, about $25 a month, several times what home suites here cost. The business kit, one console, USB control and Express Support, explains some of it. Renewals are at the then-standard price. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan, but there's a 15-day free trial, and nothing on record says it wants a card. After that, annual plans can be refunded within 30 days and monthly ones can't. |
| Features | C | It does the core job fully: machine-learning antivirus on Windows, Mac and Linux, USB device control, and threat protection on iPhone and Android. But it's narrower than the suites here. Firewall management needs Falcon Pro, and there's no VPN, password manager or identity monitoring. |
| Ease of use | B | No store rating on record. Protection comes switched on with pre-set policies, there's a step-by-step onboarding guide, and one home screen shows your devices and what was blocked. You do still put the agent on each machine. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone and Android, all run from one console, so every device a small office has is covered. No integrations or API are on record, which keeps it at B. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

- Not for you if you want a VPN or password manager in the bundle
- Too light for firms that need firewall management or threat hunting, which take Falcon Pro or Enterprise
Good to know
Good for

- Owners without IT staff who want protection that works out of the box
- Businesses that need to control what USB drives can do

- The bundle covers antivirus, device control and mobile protection only; there is no VPN, password manager or identity monitoring.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace CrowdStrike Falcon Go you would be making an engine that recognises new malware as it appears. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 11 of the 15 other antivirus apps grade higher. It costs $59.99 a year.
What you could not
- An engine that recognises new malware as it appears.
- Apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
What this rests on. CrowdStrike Falcon Go’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
