DomDetailer review (2026): is it worth $34?
Bulk Moz, Majestic and backlink lookups on credits that never expire

DomDetailer report card
Fair · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 23, 2026
Best for bulk domain metrics without Moz or Majestic plans
DomDetailer sells Moz, Majestic and its own link metrics by the lookup, on credits that never expire, through an API, web tools and a Windows app. There's no trial, purchases can't be refunded once credits are delivered, and it's data only: no rank tracker, audit or keyword tool.
Who DomDetailer is for
- Fits if you screen expired or auction domains in bulk by authority metrics
- Works for occasional users who don't want Moz and Majestic subscriptions
Who DomDetailer is not for
- Not for you if you want to try before you buy, as there's no trial and no refund once credits are used
- Skip it if you need rank tracking, site audits or keyword research, as it sells data only
- Tight if you run big jobs, with up to 20 concurrent threads and an error once credits run out
- Watch out: checkout and accounts run on pbl-soft.com, the operator's site, not domdetailer.com
Why DomDetailer gets a 2.2
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- BValue for money$34 once for 25,000 domain lookups that never expire, $1.36 per 1,000, with Moz and Majestic metrics in each. The first spend sits in this category's usual range, but per domain it's under a tenth of DataForSEO's backlinks rate of $0.024 a task.
- FFree plan and trialNothing free: no trial, and purchases can't be refunded once credits are delivered or used. The Windows app is free, but it spends the same paid credits.
- CFeaturesMoz DA, PA and Spam Score, Majestic Trust and Citation Flow and its own link counts in one call, plus lists of up to 5,000 backlinks. It does that job fully, but it's a smaller job: no rank tracking, audits or keyword data.
- BEase of useNo rating on record, but the browser tools and the free Windows app take a list of domains and return the numbers, with nothing to set up or code.
- BPlatforms and integrationsWeb, a Windows app and an API, which Domain Hunter Gatherer, Scrapebox, GSA Search Engine Ranker, Cora and Servya read with your own key. No Mac or phone app.

Keep DomDetailer, or make your own?
Keep it
To replace DomDetailer you would be making an index of the links between billions of web pages. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 23 of the 38 other SERP and SEO data APIs grade higher. It costs $34, paid once.
What you could not
- An index of the links between billions of web pages.
- A real app for Windows. Something home-made would be a web page.
- It plugs into other products, Domain Hunter Gatherer, Scrapebox and GSA Search Engine Ranker among them, and has an API.
What this rests on. DomDetailer’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
What is DomDetailer?
DomDetailer sells domain metrics by the lookup. One API call returns a domain's Moz Domain Authority, Page Authority and Spam Score, its Majestic Trust Flow and Citation Flow, and link counts from DomDetailer's own Pretty index, with no Moz or Majestic account needed. A second call lists up to 5,000 backlinks with anchor text, and web tools and a free Windows app spend the same prepaid credits.
Worth knowing
- It sells data only: there is no rank tracker, site auditor or keyword tool, and it does not replace the Moz Pro or Majestic interfaces.
- There is no free trial, and purchases are non-refundable once credits are delivered or used.
- Each account runs up to 20 concurrent threads; requests stop with an error when credits run out.
- Checkout and accounts run on pbl-soft.com, the operator's site, rather than on domdetailer.com.
Key features
- Three data sources in one call
- Moz DA, PA, Spam Score and links, Majestic Trust Flow, Citation Flow, referring domains and topical category, and Pretty link counts, for 1 credit.
- Backlink lists
- Pull up to 5,000 backlinks for a domain with anchor text, source page and follow status from the Pretty index, at 1 credit per request.
- Pretty link index
- DomDetailer's own crawl, started in 2023, which it puts at more than 110 billion links.
- Extension coverage
- Check whether a name exists across published domain-extension datasets, charged 1 credit for the whole request rather than per extension.
- Web tools and Windows app
- Bulk domain stats and backlinks tools in the browser, and a free Windows desktop app, all drawing on the same credit balance.
- Built into domain tools
- Domain Hunter Gatherer, Scrapebox, GSA Search Engine Ranker, Cora and Servya read the API with each user's own key.
