Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
3.0
GPA, above 14 of the 14 other customer review tools we grade
Judge.me is a product review app for Shopify stores. It asks buyers for reviews after delivery, shows unlimited text, photo and video reviews in widgets and star badges, and syncs ratings to Google, the Shop app, Meta and TikTok Shop. There is a free plan and a single paid plan, Awesome, at a flat monthly price whatever the store's order count.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Judge.me, taken from its own pages and our grades.
The catch: it's Shopify only now, so stores on WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Squarespace need something else.

The report card
Best for cheap, unlimited product reviews on Shopify
Judge.me is the cheap way to do product reviews on Shopify. The free plan already takes unlimited reviews with photos and videos, and the one paid plan, Awesome, is $15 a month whatever your order count. The catch: it's Shopify only now, so stores on WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Squarespace need something else.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | A 300-order shop pays $15 a month for Awesome, the same flat price at any order count, or nothing at all on Forever Free. Set against its listed rivals at that size, that's the cheapest of them by a long way. Awesome is billed monthly only, but at $15 that hardly matters. |
| Free plan and trial | A | Forever Free has no cap on reviews or orders: unlimited product and store reviews with photos and videos, the review widget, star badges, Google sync, rich snippets and an importer. Plenty of small shops won't need more. Q&A, coupons and reminders wait for Awesome. |
| Features | C | The review job is all there: requests, photo and video, Q&A, 16 widgets, Google Shopping, Meta and TikTok Shop sync, AI replies and summaries, coupons and referrals. The gap is the platform: it's Shopify only, having ended support for WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace and others. |
| Ease of use | C | No store rating on record. It installs from the Shopify App Store and imports reviews from other apps, but you still set when requests go out and place the widgets. Dropping back to Free resets Awesome-only settings, too. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web only, inside Shopify, with 130+ integrations on Awesome such as Klaviyo, Gorgias, AfterShip and LoyaltyLion, plus sync to Google, the Shop app, Meta and TikTok Shop. No phone or desktop app is listed. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Judge.me is for
- Great if you're on Shopify and want unlimited reviews without paying per order
- Good for new stores that can start free and stay free for a good while
- Handy when you're leaving Yotpo, Loox or Stamped and need your reviews brought over
Who it is not for
- Skip it if your store runs on WooCommerce, BigCommerce or Squarespace
- Not for you if you'd rather pay yearly, as Awesome is billed monthly only
- Tight if you need Klaviyo or Gorgias on the free plan, as integrations need Awesome
Good to know
Good for
- Shopify stores that want unlimited reviews without paying per order
- New stores that can start on the free plan
- Stores moving from Yotpo, Loox or Stamped that need their reviews imported
Worth knowing
- It works on Shopify only: Judge.me has ended support for WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Square, Duda and PrestaShop.
- Integrations such as Klaviyo and Gorgias, Q&A, coupons, reminders and Google Shopping need the paid Awesome plan.
- Awesome is billed monthly only; the help center says there is no yearly plan.
- Downgrading to Free takes effect at once and resets Awesome-only settings such as product groups and custom forms.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
The plain part of Judge.me you could make: review collection. What surrounds it you could not. The 3 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.
It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 3.0 is higher than 14 of the 14 other customer review tools we grade. It costs $180 a year.
What you could make
- Review collection: an app builder makes this well.
What you could not
- It plugs into other products, Shopify, Klaviyo and Gorgias among them.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
- Hooks into the device itself: widgets.
What this rests on. Judge.me’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
