Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.4
GPA, above 23 of the 51 other AI agents we grade
Lindy is an AI teammate that a whole team shares, mainly through Slack, and that can also be reached by iMessage, email and in the browser. It connects to business apps to pull reports, update a CRM, manage an inbox, record meetings and run recurring routines, and it waits for approval before any action with outside impact. Pricing is per user with a monthly credit allowance that is pooled across the workspace.
To get you started, here are 10 things to know about Lindy, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Credits don't roll over, actions pause when the pool runs dry, and SSO and audit logs are Enterprise only.

The report card
Best for one AI teammate a whole team shares in Slack
Lindy is an AI teammate a whole team shares, mostly by @mentioning it in Slack, and it waits for a yes before anything goes out the door. There's no lasting free plan: $50 of credits that expire in 7 days, then $29.99 a seat, and everyone who uses it takes a seat, including people who only mention it in Slack. Credits don't roll over, actions pause when the pool runs dry, and SSO and audit logs are Enterprise only.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | $29.99 a user each month for 3,000 credits a seat, pooled across the team, which is the dear end of middling for agent tools here. Bigger bundles cost less per credit, like 15,000 for $99.99, and top-ups are $10 per 1,000. Credits don't roll over. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No lasting free plan: you start with $50 in credits and no card needed, and they expire after 7 days. Seven days to look, then $29.99 per user a month. |
| Features | B | It covers the job: one shared teammate in Slack across Gmail, Notion, HubSpot and 1,000-plus other apps, meetings recorded into a shared library, routines set up in a sentence, 40-plus skills, memory in plain files you can edit, and approval before anything leaves the building. |
| Ease of use | C | The people who use it just @mention it in Slack. Someone still has to install it, connect the tools and watch a shared credit pool, and every person who uses it takes a paid seat. No rating on record. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Slack first, plus iMessage, email, the web and a Chrome extension, connecting to more than 1,000 apps and any MCP server. No phone or desktop app of its own. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Lindy is for
- Fits if your team lives in Slack and wants one shared AI teammate
- Works for reports, briefs and follow-ups that come round every week
Who it is not for
- Not for you if you want a free plan to stay on, as the $50 of credits runs out after 7 days
- Pricey if lots of people dip in now and then, since everyone who @mentions it takes a paid seat
- Skip it if you need SSO, SCIM, audit logs or HIPAA compliance, which are Enterprise only
- Watch out: credits don't roll over, and actions that use them pause when the shared pool runs out
- Skip it if you want a phone or desktop app of its own, as it works through Slack, iMessage, email and the web
Good to know
Good for
- Teams that work in Slack and want one shared AI teammate
- Recurring reports, briefs and follow-ups pulled from connected tools
- Gmail users who want labeled mail and pre-drafted replies
Worth knowing
- There is no ongoing free plan: the $50 of free credits lasts 7 days, after which paid usage starts at $29.99 per user per month.
- Anyone who uses Lindy takes a paid seat, including people who @mention it in Slack; those joining through Slack get a one-time 7-day trial first.
- Monthly credits do not roll over, and Lindy pauses credit-using actions when the shared pool runs out.
- SSO, SCIM, audit logs and HIPAA compliance with a signed BAA are limited to Enterprise.

Part 04 · Standing
Where it stands
Its grades against its category, and whether to keep it or make your own
23/51
Other AI agents it is graded above
Lindy's GPA of 2.4 is higher than 23 of the 51 other AI agents we grade, and level with 3.
It stands best on features (B, above 27 of 51) and worst on ease of use (C, above 5).
Its paid plans start at $29.99 a month for each person, against a middle price of $21.25 for the category: 33 of the 44 others that charge start lower.
On features, ease of use and platforms it scores 2.7 out of 4. 8 tools score higher and cost less.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Lindy you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
It costs $359.88 a year.
What you could not
- An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- A bot that joins your calls and turns the talk into notes.
- An AI model, which you can rent by the request but not make.
- Filters that read every message as it arrives.
- It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Lindy’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
Part 05 · Refunds
After you pay
Getting your money back, getting out, and getting help
What happens once you have paid: whether you can get your money back, how to leave, and how to reach a person when something goes wrong. Each is graded from Lindy’s own terms and help pages.
Refunds and cancelling
Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026
Lindy's terms say it in four words: all purchases are non-refundable. There is no window, no trial-period grace, nothing. What you do get is a clean exit, run from your own settings, with the workspace live until the cycle you paid for runs out and no notice to give. Non-refundable plus a door you can open yourself is the ordinary deal, so a C.
- Refund window
- No set window
- How you cancel
- Yourself, in settings
- Getting your money back
The cancellation section of the terms states that all purchases are non-refundable. No window, guarantee or discretionary refund is described anywhere on the pages read, and the terms give no exception beyond pointing unhappy customers at the support address and telephone number listed in the same section.
Stated on lindy.ai- How to cancel Lindy
The terms say you can cancel at any time, either by contacting the company with the details given in the terms or from within your account, and that the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Lindy's docs add that downgrades take effect at the end of the current term, that upgrades and credit or seat changes are immediate, and that it is all managed from account settings.
Stated on lindy.ai- What you keep afterwards
The pricing page says the workspace stays active through the cycle already paid for, with no mid-cycle proration, and that credit-using actions stop after that. Removing a seat works the same way: it stays billed and active to the end of the cycle. Monthly plan credits reset each cycle and do not roll over, while purchased top-up credits stay until used. Nothing read says what becomes of the data.
Stated on lindy.ai- Renewals
The terms say that where an order carries recurring charges you consent to the payment method being charged on a recurring basis without your approval for each charge, until you cancel. The docs add that new teammates who join through Slack get a seven-day free trial before the seat is billed, and that trial seats may convert to paid seats unless they are removed first. No reminder before a renewal is mentioned.
Stated on lindy.ai
In your favour
- You cancel from your own account settings, with no notice period and nobody to persuade.
- The workspace keeps running to the end of the cycle you already paid for.
- Top-up credits you bought stay usable rather than expiring at the end of a cycle.
- Admins get an email with a one-click link whenever a new teammate takes a free seat through Slack.
Watch out for
- All purchases are non-refundable: the terms state it flatly and name no exception.
- Billing recurs without asking you again each time, until you cancel.
- Removing a seat gets you nothing back mid-cycle, since Lindy does not prorate.
- Monthly plan credits do not roll over, so anything unspent at the cycle's end is gone.
Customer support
Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026
A written set of docs, an address to write to and, unusually, a telephone number printed in the terms. What is missing is any promise: no hours, no target reply time, and no support page that sets out what happens when you write in. Enterprise buyers are offered dedicated support, everyone else takes their chances. That is the ordinary arrangement, so a C.
Ways to get help
Phone
The cancellation section of the terms also prints a telephone number to call if you are unsatisfied with the service. No hours, time zone or reply target are stated for it, and no other page read repeats it.
Stated on lindy.aiEmail
The terms give a support address for customers who are unsatisfied with the service, and the docs point to the same address for Enterprise questions and for teams that keep running out of credits. No hours or reply time are attached to it.
Stated on lindy.aiContact form or ticket
A contact-sales page on Lindy's own site, which the pricing page uses for the Enterprise plan and for buying more credits than the listed bundles cover. It is a sales route rather than a support queue.
Stated on lindy.aiHelp centre
Written documentation covering setup, the Slack teammate, routines, skills, integrations, security, usage and billing, with a page on how credits are spent and how to read your usage. It is open to anyone without an account.
Stated on docs.lindy.ai
Not listed on Lindy’s pages: live chat.
- When people answer
Its pages do not say.
- How fast it says it replies
Its pages do not say.
- What depends on your plan
The pricing page lists live onboarding among the Team plan's features, and gives Enterprise dedicated support plus onboarding and enablement. The Free plan's column lists neither. No page read attaches a response time or a service-level commitment to any plan.
Stated on lindy.ai
In your favour
- The terms give both an address to write to and a number to call, which many tools of this kind do not.
- The docs are open to anyone and go into real detail on credits, usage and billing.
- Team buyers are offered live onboarding, not just a link to the docs.
Watch out for
- No page states support hours, a time zone or a target reply time.
- There is no live chat, and the phone number is buried in the terms rather than on a support page.
- Dedicated support is reserved for Enterprise, which is priced by sales.
What these two grades rest on. Read on 18 October 2026: Lindy's terms of service, including its purchases, cancellation and termination sections; its pricing page with the plan table and billing questions; its contact-sales page; and the billing, usage and pricing pages of its documentation. Nobody here cancelled a plan or contacted Lindy's support. They are graded apart from the five that make the GPA. How we grade refunds and support.
