Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.8
GPA, above 40 of the 51 other AI agents we grade
LobeHub is an agent workspace that grew out of the open-source LobeChat chat interface. You build agents from a one-line description, group them into teams that work on a task in parallel, schedule their runs, and reach them from the web, desktop and mobile apps or from messaging channels such as Slack, Discord and Telegram. LobeHub Cloud meters model usage in monthly credits, and the community edition can be self-deployed with your own model API keys.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about LobeHub, taken from its own pages and our grades.
- 1
Best for teams of agents you can reach from anywhere
Shipping your own version needs a commercial license.
- 2
Paid plans start at $9.90 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $9.9 per month, billed yearly ($118.8); $12.9 billed monthly.
- 3
There is a free plan
LobeHub Cloud gives every registered user 500,000 credits a month with 15 MB of file storage; some models need a subscription. The community edition can be self-deployed at no cost.
- 4
It runs on 6 platforms
Web, macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android.
- 5
Agent Builder
Describe the agent you need in a sentence and its name, role, skills and behavior are set up automatically, ready to use or to adjust.
- 6
Agent Groups
Several agents work on one task as a team: the system picks the agents for the job, runs them in parallel and iterates on the result.
- 7
Skills and MCP marketplaces
Agents are connected to skills and MCP servers from community marketplaces. The homepage counts more than 334,000 skills and 106,000 MCP servers.
- 8
A 2.8 GPA, above 40 of 51
That is against the other AI agents we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace LobeHub you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for teams of agents you can reach from anywhere
LobeHub is a workspace for building AI agents from a one-line description, grouping them into teams, scheduling them and reaching them from the web, desktop, phone or chat apps like Slack and Telegram. Everything is metered in credits: Free is about 70 messages a month on a budget model, GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5 need a subscription, and Agent Memory waits for Starter at $12.9 a month. Shipping your own version needs a commercial license.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | B | Starter is $9.9 a month only if you pay $118.8 for the year; month to month it's $12.9, still under what agent tools here start at. Credits are the real currency, though: Starter's 5,000,000 is ten times a Free plan that works out at about 70 messages. |
| Free plan and trial | C | Every account gets 500,000 credits a month, which the listing puts at roughly 70 messages on GLM-5.3-Flash, with 15 MB of storage and 100 vector entries. GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5 and Kimi K3 need a subscription. The self-deployed community edition is the uncapped way. |
| Features | B | It covers the job: an agent built from a sentence, Agent Groups working one task in parallel, schedules, Pages written by several agents, personal memory, and marketplaces the homepage counts at 334,000 skills and 106,000 MCP servers. Agent Memory waits for Starter. |
| Ease of use | C | Describing an agent in a sentence gets one set up, but then it's choosing models, picking through enormous skill and MCP marketplaces and watching a credit meter, and the community edition means Docker and your own keys. No rating on record. |
| Platforms and integrations | A | Web, Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and Android, and agents also answer in Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat and iMessage. One note from the docs: the desktop app isn't fully offline. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who LobeHub is for
- Fits if you want several agents working together on scheduled tasks in the cloud
- Works for developers who want to self-deploy the workspace and use their own API keys
Who it is not for
- Tight if you're staying free, as 500,000 credits is about 70 messages on a budget model
- Not for you if you want GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5 or Kimi K3 without paying, as they need a subscription
- Skip it if you plan to ship your own version of it, because distributing a derivative work needs a commercial license
- Watch out: the desktop app isn't fully offline, as cloud models, sync and online tools still need a connection
- Watch out: Agent Memory starts at Starter, and Free stops at 15 MB of storage and 100 vector entries
Good to know
Good for
- People who want several agents working on scheduled tasks in the cloud
- Reaching agents from Slack, Discord, Telegram or WhatsApp
- Developers who want to self-deploy an agent workspace and use their own API keys
Worth knowing
- Cloud usage is metered in credits that reset monthly; the Free plan's 500,000 credits are about 70 messages on GLM-5.3-Flash.
- GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5 and Kimi K3 are marked Subscription required on the Free plan.
- The docs note that the desktop app is not fully offline: cloud models, sync and online tools still need a connection.
- The code uses the LobeHub Community License, based on Apache 2.0: distributing a derivative work needs a commercial license.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace LobeHub you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.8 is higher than 40 of the 51 other AI agents we grade. It costs $118.80 a year. LobeHub is open source, so there is a third way: take its code and run it yourself.
What you could not
- An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
- An AI model, which you can rent by the request but not make.
- Apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.
- It plugs into other products, Slack, Discord and Telegram among them.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. LobeHub’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
