Lovable refunds and cancellation

CGrade

Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026

The terms have a section headed No Refunds and it means it. What you get instead is a clean door out: you downgrade to Free yourself in the workspace settings, keep the plan to the end of the period you paid for, and your published apps stay live. The sting is the credits. Cancel with unused monthly or rollover credits and they are frozen rather than refunded, so the only way to get the value back is to start paying again.

Getting your money back

The terms say that except where the law requires it, all fees are non-refundable, and that prepaid credits are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash. The docs repeat it: cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current billing period. Credits are consumed by each AI action whatever the result, and are not restored even when the output is wrong. Lovable says it will review a charge made in error.

How to cancel Lovable

A workspace owner or admin cancels by downgrading to Free in Workspace settings, under Plans and credit usage: Manage on the plan card, then Downgrade to free. The docs say there is no cancel button as such and no need to contact support. The mobile app has no cancel option, so on a phone you use the browser. A plan bought inside the iOS app covers one month and does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.

  1. Open Workspace settings, then Plans and credit usage
  2. Select Manage on your plan card
  3. Select Downgrade to free
  4. Complete the downgrade flow

What you keep afterwards

The plan runs to the end of the current billing period, then the workspace moves to Free, and until then the dialog offers Cancel downgrade. Published apps stay live, though Lovable may unpublish one after 12 months with no visits and no owner sign-in if it has no custom domain, emailing first and keeping it. Unused monthly and rollover credits are frozen; top-up and bonus credits stay usable until they expire.

Renewals

The terms say paid plans are billed in advance monthly or annually and renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date in your account settings. No reminder before a renewal is mentioned anywhere in the pages read. Plans bought inside the iOS app are the exception: each purchase covers one month and does not renew on its own.

In your favour

  • You downgrade to Free yourself in the workspace settings, with nobody to contact.
  • The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and you can undo the downgrade until then.
  • Published apps stay live after you stop paying rather than going dark.
  • Top-up credits you bought and any bonus credits keep working on the free plan until they expire.

Watch out for

  • The terms are headed No Refunds: beyond what the law requires, nothing comes back.
  • Unused monthly and rollover credits are frozen, not refunded, and thaw only if you subscribe again.
  • Credits are spent on each AI action whatever the result, and are not restored for a bad one.
  • Plans renew on their own, monthly or yearly, and no page promises a warning first.

Getting help from Lovable

BGrade

Good · checked Oct 18, 2026

Pay and you can reach the team, through a form that needs a login and a paid workspace, with a stated target of a first reply within 24 hours. That written target is more than most give. It is not an A because nobody answers live: an AI handles the form first and you have to ask it to pass you to a person, the team says it works mainly on weekdays, and on the free plan the Contact us button offers you an upgrade instead.

Ways to get help

  • Email

The support policy says that if the form is unavailable, or you cannot log in to use it, you can email the support address from the same account email. A separate address is given for privacy requests.

  • Contact form or ticket

A support form on Lovable's support page, for logged-in users whose workspace is on a paid plan. Lovable's support AI answers first, usually within a couple of minutes, and if that does not help you ask for a human, who follows up by email.

  • Help inside the app

Enterprise workspaces can open a support request from inside the editor, through the chat actions menu, without the form. Lovable attaches the project, workspace and account details automatically, and the team replies by email.

  • Help centre

Documentation at docs.lovable.dev with a docs assistant that answers from it, plus a public status page for incidents and a free video academy run by the Lovable team. All of it is open without an account.

  • Community or forum

A Discord server open on every plan, where Lovable staff and community champions take part. The support policy says plainly that community answers are not official support.

When people answer

No opening times are published. The support policy says only that the team responds within 24 hours, mainly on weekdays, and that Enterprise response times are set by the contract and the account team instead.

How fast it says it replies

The support policy states that the support team responds within 24 hours, mainly on weekdays, and says explicitly that this is the time to a first reply and not the time to a resolution. Business plans are described as prioritised for a faster response, without a figure attached.

What depends on your plan

Free gets community support only: the docs, the docs assistant, the status page and Discord. Pro adds email support through the form. Business adds priority, meaning requests are put ahead of others. Enterprise adds a dedicated account team, priority response times set by contract, and the in-editor route.

In your favour

  • A written target of a first reply within 24 hours, which plenty of rivals never commit to.
  • The docs are unusually honest about billing, saying outright what support will and will not do.
  • Discord is open on every plan, free included, with Lovable staff taking part.
  • Enterprise workspaces raise a ticket from inside the editor with the project details attached.

Watch out for

  • Free users cannot reach a person: the Contact us button opens an upgrade prompt instead of the form.
  • An AI answers the form first, and you have to ask for a human to be passed on.
  • The team works mainly on weekdays, so a Saturday problem is likely to wait.
  • Support will not debug the code in your project: that is left to Lovable's own chat.

What these two grades rest on. Read on 18 October 2026: Lovable's terms of service, including its No Refunds section, and its documentation on changing or cancelling a subscription, the support policy with its plan-by-plan table and response target, the subscription plans page and the support page. Nobody here cancelled a plan or contacted its support. They are graded apart from the five that make the GPA. How we grade refunds and support.
