MacWhisper is a Mac app for turning speech into text: it transcribes audio and video files, records and transcribes meetings, and offers system-wide dictation. Transcription uses local models, so files are processed on the Mac without being uploaded. The free version covers basic transcription and dictation, and Pro is a one-time purchase that adds speaker recognition, batch jobs and more export formats.
