Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

1.8

GPA, above 0 of the 57 other AI assistants we grade

Magai is a web workspace that puts chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek and other labs in one conversation, so you can switch model mid-thread without losing context. Memory, agents, saved prompts and connected apps sit above the models and work with any of them, and image and video generators are part of the same subscription. Each plan is a monthly usage allowance in dollars instead of a message cap.

To get you started, here are 8 things to know about Magai, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for one workspace for many models, with shared memory

Magai puts chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and others into one thread, and you can swap between them mid-conversation, with memory, agents and 150+ app connections on top.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $20 a month

As its pricing page puts it: $20 per month (Standard).

  3. 3

    It runs on Web

    Web.

  4. 4

Dozens of models in one chat

Chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Meta and others. Typing a slash and a model's name switches model mid-conversation with the whole thread carried over.

  5. 5

    Memory shared by every model

Facts, dates and preferences are kept above the models, so they carry over when you switch. Each memory can be read, searched and deleted.

  6. 6

    Agents and scheduled tasks

Agents bundle instructions, files and skills and run on any model. Scheduled tasks run a model or agent once or on repeat: 100 runs a month on Standard, 1,000 on Pro, unlimited on Ultra.

  7. 7

    A 1.8 GPA, above 0 of 57

That is against the other AI assistants we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  8. 8

    Keep it

To replace Magai you would be making an AI model, which you can rent by the request but not make. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card

Best for one workspace for many models, with shared memory

Magai puts chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and others into one thread, and you can swap between them mid-conversation, with memory, agents and 150+ app connections on top. There's no free plan and no trial, Standard's $20 a month buys $20 of usage before you top up, the site contradicts itself on which plans get premium models, and it's web only.

ToolGPA report cardMagaiGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyDStandard is $20 a month, where this category's dearest tenth starts, and it buys $20 of model usage. The pricing table keeps the premium models for Pro at $40, and when your allowance runs out you top up $5, $10 or $20 or move up a tier.
Free plan and trialFNothing is free. There's no free plan and no free trial. What you get instead is a 30-day money-back guarantee on every plan, which isn't the same thing: you pay first, then ask for it back.
FeaturesBSwitch model mid-chat with a slash and the thread comes with you, with memory shared by every model. Add agents, scheduled tasks, 150+ app connections, MCP, image and video generation and a canvas that exports. The job's covered.
Ease of useCNo rating on record for a web app, and there's a bit to learn: you pay by a dollar allowance rather than a message count, and the pricing table and the rest of the site don't agree on which plans include the premium models.
Platforms and integrationsBA web app only, with no phone or desktop app on the listing. It does connect to Gmail, Slack, Notion, HubSpot and more than 150 other apps, plus any MCP server you add by its URL.
Grade point averageWeak, out of 4.01.8

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Magai is for

  • Fits if you pay for several AI subscriptions and would rather have one bill
  • Works for client work, since each workspace keeps its chats, memories and files apart

Who it is not for

  • Not for you if you want to try before you pay, as there's no free plan or trial, only a 30-day refund window
  • Pricey if you want the premium models, which the pricing table puts on Pro at $40 a month
  • Watch out: each plan is a dollar allowance, and once it's spent you top up $5, $10 or $20 or move up a tier
  • Watch out: the pricing table and the rest of the site disagree on whether every plan includes every model
  • Skip it if you want a phone app, as it's web only, or need Pro or Ultra seats, which are quoted rather than priced

Good to know

Good for

  • People paying for several AI subscriptions who want one bill
  • Agencies and consultants who keep a separate workspace per client
  • Recurring reports and inbox tasks run on a schedule

Worth knowing

  • There is no free plan or free trial; every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee instead.
  • Each plan is a monthly usage allowance in dollars ($20, $40 or $200). Once it is spent you top up $5, $10 or $20 or move up a tier.
  • The pricing table reserves premium models for Pro and Ultra, although other parts of the site say every plan includes every model.
  • Extra seats cost $20 each on Standard. Pro and Ultra seats are quoted, and more than ten seats go through enterprise sales.

Part 04 · Standing

Where it stands

Its grades against its category, and whether to keep it or make your own

0/57

Other AI assistants it is graded above

Magai's GPA of 1.8 is higher than 0 of the 57 other AI assistants we grade, and level with 1.

It stands best on features (B, above 28 of 57) and worst on free plan and trial (F, above 0).

Its paid plans start at $20 a month, against a middle price of $10 for the category: 34 of the 38 others that charge start lower.

On features, ease of use and platforms it scores 2.7 out of 4. 18 tools score higher and cost less.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Magai you would be making an AI model, which you can rent by the request but not make. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 56 of the 57 other AI assistants grade higher. It costs $240 a year.

What you could not

  • An AI model, which you can rent by the request but not make.
  • A search engine with an AI model behind it.
  • An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
  • Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Magai’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
