Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

3.0

GPA, above 37 of the 43 other habit trackers we grade

MyRoutine is a routine planner and habit tracker from Seoul-based Minding for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Android. Habits are arranged around moments of the day rather than fixed times, checked off with emojis, and tracked next to a mood score and diary entries, with statistics, badges and a feed of other users' routines. The free version allows 10 habits and shows ads; Premium is sold monthly, annually or as a lifetime purchase.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about MyRoutine, taken from its own pages and our grades.

You can copy other users' setups and templates rather than starting from a blank grid.
From our grade for ease of use
  1. 1

Best for planning your day as a routine, not by the clock

MyRoutine plans your day by sequence rather than clock time: habits hang off moments like waking up, ticked off with emojis, with a mood score and a diary alongside.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $1.92 a month when paid by the year

As its pricing page puts it: $22.99 per year, or $2.99 per month (website prices).

  3. 3

    There is a free plan

10 habits, 3 diary entries, 14 short notes a week, 7 long memo notes, 2 highlighters, and weekly-only repeat cycles and statistics. Shows ads and has no to-do management.

  4. 4

    It runs on 3 platforms

    iOS, macOS and Android.

  5. 5

    Situation-based routines

Habits attach to moments such as waking up rather than to clock times, and the whole day is laid out from morning to night in a grid the vendor compares to a spreadsheet.

  6. 6

    Flexible repeats and rest days

Habits repeat daily, weekly or on a custom pattern, and a habit can be rested without being marked failed, so a day off keeps the streak. Custom repeat cycles need Premium.

  7. 7

    Mood and diary

Log a mood score, feelings and diary entries next to your routines, then review mood score graphs and a monthly journal overview.

  8. 8

    A 3.0 GPA, above 37 of 43

That is against the other habit trackers we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  9. 9

    Your call

A habit tracker at its plainest is a list of habits, a tick for each day and a count of the streak.

The report card

Best for planning your day as a routine, not by the clock

MyRoutine plans your day by sequence rather than clock time: habits hang off moments like waking up, ticked off with emojis, with a mood score and a diary alongside. Free gives you 10 habits with ads. But free also stops at 3 diary entries and weekly-only stats with no to-dos, the website and App Store list different prices, the site calls even the monthly a one-time payment, and the Mac app is an unverified iPad port.

ToolGPA report cardMyRoutineGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyBThe website's yearly is $22.99, about $1.92 a month, just inside this category's cheapest quarter, and Lifetime is $59.99. It stops at a B because the App Store lists other figures, up to $39.99 a year and $79.99 once, and the website calls even the monthly tab a one-time payment.
Free plan and trialBTen habits free, so someone who only tracks habits could stay on it. The walls elsewhere: 3 diary entries, 14 short notes a week, weekly-only repeat cycles and statistics, no to-dos, and ads on show.
FeaturesBHabits attached to moments of the day in a grid from morning to night, repeats daily, weekly or custom, rest days that don't count as failures, a mood score with graphs, a diary, a Green Light for the day, badges, widgets and an Apple Watch app. Custom repeats and monthly stats need Premium.
Ease of useA4.78 on the App Store from about 3,300 ratings, which clears the A bar on our ladder. You can copy other users' setups and templates rather than starting from a blank grid.
Platforms and integrationsCPhones, really: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android, with no web version at all. The Mac version is the iPad app, which the App Store marks as not verified for macOS and which needs an M1 chip or later. Nothing it connects to.
Grade point averageVery good, out of 4.03.0

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who MyRoutine is for

  • Fits if you plan by sequence, like after waking up, and not by the clock
  • Works for people who want mood and a short diary next to their habits

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you want a web version or a proper Mac app: the Mac one is the iPad app, unverified and M1 or later
  • Tight if you're staying free and want the diary, with 3 entries, 14 short notes a week and ads on show
  • Not for you if you need to-dos or monthly stats for free, as both need Premium
  • Watch out: the website says $22.99 a year and $59.99 lifetime, the App Store $17.99 to $39.99 a year and $79.99
  • Watch out: the website labels even the monthly price a one-time payment, so check the terms at checkout

Good to know

Good for

  • People who plan by sequence, such as after waking up, rather than by the clock
  • Tracking mood and a short diary alongside habits in one app
  • Those who want to see how friends and other users set up their routines

Worth knowing

  • The free version stops at 10 habits and 3 diary entries, limits repeat cycles and statistics to weekly, shows ads and leaves out to-do management.
  • The US App Store lists different prices from the website: Pro (monthly) at $4.99 and $5.99, Pro (annual) from $17.99 to $39.99 and Pro (lifetime) at $79.99.
  • There is no web version, and the Mac version is the iPad app: the App Store marks it as not verified for macOS and it needs an Apple M1 chip or later.
  • The website labels every Premium price as a one-time payment, including the monthly and annual tabs, so check the billing terms shown at purchase.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Your call

A habit tracker at its plainest is a list of habits, a tick for each day and a count of the streak.

You could make the core of MyRoutine for yourself: habit tracking, mood tracking, daily notes, tasks and templates. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. At $22.99 a year it costs less than the weekend it would take to replace, which is the argument for keeping it.

What you could make

  • Habit tracking, mood tracking, daily notes, tasks and templates: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • Apps for macOS, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.
  • Hooks into the device itself: an Apple Watch app and widgets.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. MyRoutine’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
