n8n refund policy
n8n states a refund policy with no set window, and you cancel in your own settings.
n8n refunds and cancellation
Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026
A plain, unsentimental deal. On a monthly Cloud plan you stop whenever you like and keep the instance to the end of that month. Pay for a year and the terms call it non-refundable in so many words, so that money is spent. No guarantee, no window, no grace, but nothing standing between you and the exit either, which is where most subscription software sits. A C.

- Getting your money back
The Cloud terms say an annual plan is a non-refundable payment made in advance for 12 months of access. On a monthly plan, fees are payable in advance at the start of each month, and cancelling gives you access to the end of that month with no further payments taken. The terms set out no refund window, no money-back guarantee and no exception beyond that.
Stated on n8n.io- How to cancel n8n
The Cloud terms say you can terminate your subscription through the Cloud Services themselves or by writing to n8n by email. No help page read sets out where the setting sits or what the steps are. A monthly plan can be cancelled at any time; the terms also say only monthly services can be downgraded, so an annual plan cannot be reduced part way through its term.
Stated on n8n.io- What you keep afterwards
The terms say your right to use the Cloud Services and the content on them expires when the subscription ends. Workflows can be downloaded beforehand from the Export tab of the Cloud admin dashboard. The only retention figure published is for trials: 90 days to download workflows after a free trial ends, after which n8n says they are permanently deleted and unrecoverable.
Stated on docs.n8n.io- Renewals
The terms say monthly fees are payable in advance at the beginning of each month and keep being taken until you cancel, and that an annual plan is paid in advance for a 12-month period. They do not use the word automatic, and promise no reminder before a charge. If you exceed your plan's limits n8n says it may upgrade your account, giving 14 days' notice in which you can object.

In your favour
- Cancel a monthly plan whenever you like and you keep the instance until the end of that month.
- You end the subscription in the product itself, by the terms, without having to ask anyone.
- The admin dashboard has an Export tab, so your workflows can be downloaded before you go.
- If n8n bumps you to a bigger plan for overuse, it gives 14 days' notice and you can object.
Watch out for
- An annual plan is non-refundable in so many words: pay for the year and the year is spent.
- You cannot downgrade an annual plan mid-term either, only a monthly one.
- No help page says where to cancel, only the terms, which point vaguely at the product or an email.
- The only data-retention figure published is for trials, so there is no stated grace after a paid plan ends.
Getting help from n8n
Weak · checked Oct 18, 2026
The forum is genuinely good and n8n's own engineers post in it. The problem is that it is all an ordinary paying customer gets. The pricing FAQ says outright that the Business plan is self-serve and dedicated support is Enterprise only, the comparison table puts email support on Enterprise alone, and the contact page asks you to post in the forum instead of writing in. Pay €50 a month for Pro and there is still no one to raise a ticket with. That is a D.
Ways to get help
Email
The Cloud terms give an email address for ending a subscription. The pricing comparison notes against its email support row that support with billing and the like is included on all plans, while the row itself is ticked for Enterprise only.
Stated on n8n.ioContact form or ticket
A customer support centre where you open a ticket, described on the support page as Enterprise-only and offering priority support. The pricing FAQ repeats that dedicated support is available only on the Enterprise plan.
Stated on n8n.ioHelp centre
Documentation covering hosting, the Cloud admin dashboard, every node, integrations and administration, with a machine-readable index. It is open to anyone without an account.
Stated on docs.n8n.ioCommunity or forum
The community forum, which the support page describes as free for every n8n user and a place where n8n engineers take part alongside other builders. The pricing table shows forum access on every plan, self-hosted Community Edition included.

- When people answer
Its pages do not say.
- How fast it says it replies
No response time is published for any self-serve plan. The pricing page says dedicated support means direct access to the in-house team with guaranteed response times available through SLAs, and that a support contract with response times set by issue severity can be added at extra cost. No figures are given.
Stated on n8n.io- What depends on your plan
The comparison table ticks forum access on every plan, including the free self-hosted Community Edition, and ticks email support and dedicated support with an SLA for Enterprise only. Its note says support with billing and similar is included on all plans. The pricing FAQ confirms the Business plan is self-serve.
Stated on n8n.io
In your favour
- The forum is free to everyone, self-hosters included, and n8n says its engineers answer there.
- The documentation is large, open and kept in step with the product.
- Billing questions are covered on every plan, according to the note on the pricing table.
Watch out for
- On Starter, Pro or Business you get the forum, not a support desk.
- n8n says plainly that dedicated support is Enterprise only, and that Business is self-serve.
- A support contract with set response times is an extra, chargeable on top of Enterprise.
- The contact page asks you to post problems in the forum rather than write in.
What these two grades rest on. Read on 18 October 2026: n8n's self-serve Cloud terms on payment, cancellation and termination, the pricing page with its support comparison rows and FAQ, the support page, the contact page, and the Cloud documentation on the admin dashboard, downloading workflows and the free trial. Nobody here cancelled a plan or contacted its support. They are graded apart from the five that make the GPA. How we grade refunds and support.
