Nexlev is a research toolkit aimed at faceless YouTube channels. Its Chrome extension adds channel analytics, revenue estimates, similar-channel lookups and a swipe file to YouTube pages, and the Niche Finder in the Pro plan ranks growing channels and niches with 21 filters. The report card
Best for finding niches for faceless YouTube channels
Nexlev's Chrome extension adds channel analytics, revenue estimates and similar-channel lookups to YouTube, and its MCP brings the same data into Claude or ChatGPT. The Niche Finder, its main research tool, is only in Pro at €39 a month on yearly billing, though. Prices are in euros, the extension is Chrome only, and there are no team plans.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | B | Lite is €10 a month on yearly billing (€13 monthly), below the $15 that marks this category's cheaper quarter. The Niche Finder needs Pro at €39 a month yearly (€42 monthly), about four times as much. |
| Free plan and trial | C | A free account with no card, but it's the MCP alone, at small daily limits such as 10 channel searches a day. The extension and Niche Finder need a paid plan, with a trial the sign-up button gives as 5 days. |
| Features | C | 40+ extension tools, revenue estimates, a Niche Finder with 21 filters on Pro, MCP, an API and a swipe file. It's built for picking a niche rather than ranking a video in search, and the Niche Finder is Pro only. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record. There's an extension to install, an MCP to hook up to your AI assistant and 21 filters to learn in the Niche Finder. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web and a Chrome extension, with MCP for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Windsurf and an API for n8n. No phone or desktop app, and no Brave or Firefox support yet. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Nexlev is for
- Fits if you're starting a faceless channel and want to pick its niche from data
- Works for creators who want YouTube channel data inside Claude or ChatGPT
Who it is not for
- Pricey if the Niche Finder is why you came, as it's Pro only at €39 a month on yearly billing
- Skip it if you use Brave or Firefox, as the extension is built for Chrome only
- Not for you if a team shares it, as there are no team plans and each person pays separately
- Tight if you're staying free, as the free account is the MCP alone at small daily limits
- Watch out: prices are in euros, even when the site is read from the US
Good to know
Good for
- Creators starting or scaling faceless YouTube channels
- Finding niches and outlier channels before choosing a topic
- Bringing YouTube channel data into Claude or ChatGPT
Worth knowing
- Prices are in euros; the pricing data the site loads showed euros when read from the US.
- The Niche Finder is sold only in Pro; Lite covers the Chrome extension and the MCP.
- The extension is built for Chrome; Nexlev says Brave and Firefox are not supported yet.
- There are no team plans: each team member needs a separate subscription. Refunds are offered within 14 days.

Keep it
Nothing Nexlev does is plain enough to make in a weekend. The 3 things listed below take a company.
It costs $134.47 a year.
What you could not
- Search data for YouTube topics and channels.
- It plugs into other products, Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code among them, and has an API.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
What this rests on. Nexlev’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
