Norton 360 refunds and cancellation
Good · checked Oct 18, 2026
Sixty days to change your mind on an annual subscription, and the clock restarts at every renewal, which is as generous as this market gets. Two things keep it off an A. The refund is not a button: you have to contact Norton and ask, and requests take a few days. And the monthly plan gets 14 days on the first payment only, with every renewal after that non-refundable. Stopping the renewal, at least, is yours to do in the account.

Norton's cancellation and refund policy gives a 60-day money-back guarantee on annual subscriptions: a full refund if requested within 60 days of purchase, and the same within 60 days of each later annual charge. A monthly subscription is refundable in full within 14 days of purchase, and later monthly charges are not refundable. These terms cover buying directly from Norton only.
Stated on us.norton.com- How to cancel Norton 360
Two things can be ended. To stop the next charge you turn off the renewal yourself: sign in, open My Account, then My Subscriptions, then Cancel Renewal. To cancel the contract and get money back under the guarantee you have to contact Norton and ask, and the policy says requests are usually processed within a few days. Buying through an app store or a reseller puts their terms in place instead.
- Sign in to your Norton account before your billing date
- Click My Account
- Select My Subscriptions from the dropdown
- Click Cancel Renewal, or Manage Subscriptions, for the subscription you want to stop
- Follow the on-screen instructions to finish
- Allow up to 24 hours for the change to show in the account
- Watch for the confirmation email, which Norton says can take 24 to 48 hours
- What you keep afterwards
Turning off the renewal leaves the subscription running to the end of the period already paid for, after which it ends and nothing more is charged. Norton warns that benefits tied to an automatically renewing subscription may stop. If you cancel the contract and take a refund instead, you must uninstall and delete every copy of the software. No page read says what happens to files in Norton's cloud backup.
Stated on us.norton.com- Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically until the renewal is turned off, and the order page says the price quoted today covers the introductory term only, after which the subscription is billed at the standard monthly or annual renewal price. No page read promises a reminder before that happens. Cancelling the renewal of a main subscription also cancels any add-ons linked to it, but not the other way round.

In your favour
- Sixty days to change your mind on an annual subscription, which is twice what most software gives.
- The 60 days start again at every annual renewal, so a renewal you forgot about is not money lost.
- You can stop the next charge yourself in My Subscriptions, without talking to anyone.
- Norton says a refund request is usually processed within a few days, back to the card that was charged.
Watch out for
- The refund is not self-serve: you have to contact Norton and ask for it.
- On a monthly plan only the first payment is refundable, and then only within 14 days.
- The cheap first year renews at the full price, and no page promises a reminder before it does.
- Bought through an app store or a retailer? Their terms replace these ones.
Getting help from Norton 360
Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026
Norton has a large help centre split by product and problem, a busy public community, and a contact route its own refund policy tells you to use. The trouble is seeing it: the contact page asks you to verify the email you registered with before it will show a single option, so from outside an account there are no stated hours, no reply time and no list of channels. Help pages plus an unexplained contact route is a C.
Ways to get help
Contact form or ticket
The Contact Support route on the support site, which the refund policy also names as the way to request a refund. It asks you to verify the email address you registered with before showing any options, so the routes behind it could not be read without an account.
Stated on support.norton.comHelp centre
A support site with hubs for downloading and installing, cancelling and refunds, account help and each product, plus written solution articles. Open to anyone without signing in, and offered in a long list of languages by region.
Stated on support.norton.comCommunity or forum
A public Norton community that the support site describes as customers and product experts ready to answer questions. Free to read and to post in, with no subscription needed.

In your favour
- The help centre is large, organised by product and problem, and free to read.
- Norton's refund policy names the contact route plainly instead of hiding it.
- The public community is open to anyone, subscription or not.
Watch out for
- The contact page shows nothing until you verify a registered email address.
- No page we could read states support hours or a target reply time.
- Nothing on the public pages says which plans get which kind of help.
- Refunds go through the same contact route, so a billing question cannot be settled self-serve.
What these two grades rest on. Read on 18 October 2026: Norton's cancellation and refund policy, its US order page for Norton 360 and its small print, the Norton support site and its contact page, and the Norton community. The contact page requires a registered email address before it shows any options, so the support channels, hours and reply times behind it were not read. Nobody here cancelled a plan or contacted Norton's support. They are graded apart from the five that make the GPA. How we grade refunds and support.
