GPA, above 48 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade
Planmore is a planner app for iPhone and iPad that keeps calendar events, tasks, iOS Reminders and notes in one place, with day, week, month and year views that flip like the pages of a paper planner. Data syncs between devices signed in to the same iCloud account. The app is free to download, and an upgrade, sold as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, adds agenda views, unlimited task lists, subtasks, shared task lists, stickers and schedule export.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Planmore, taken from its own pages and our grades.

The report card
Best for a paper-style planner on iPhone and iPad
Planmore is an iPhone and iPad planner that flips through days, weeks and months like a paper one, with events, tasks, iOS Reminders and notes in one place. Much of that is free, and the upgrade is $14.99 a year or $29.99 once. But it's iPhone and iPad only, iCloud is its only sync, subtasks and shared lists are paid, and a $19.99 purchase sits on the store with no explanation.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | $14.99 a year is $1.25 a month, and $29.99 buys it for life, when a year of this category's middle subscription is about $72. The store also lists a $19.99 Premium Version without saying how it differs from the lifetime purchase. |
| Free plan and trial | B | The free version has day, week, month and year views, events, tasks with due dates and priorities, iOS Reminders, notes, widgets and iCloud sync, and the release notes say ads were dropped for free users. Subtasks, shared lists and unlimited lists are the upgrade. |
| Features | C | The basics: events with colors, repeats, reminders and invites, tasks with due dates and priorities, Apple Reminders alongside, and formatted notes with labels. The gaps show on the listing: the only connections are Apple Reminders and iCloud, and agenda views and export need paying for. |
| Ease of use | A | 4.79 from about 4,900 App Store ratings, over our bar for an A. It's laid out like a paper planner you flip through, and widgets show the day without opening it. |
| Platforms and integrations | D | One operating system: iPhone and iPad, syncing through iCloud, with no Android, web or Windows version on the vendor's page or store listing. Apple Reminders is the only app it's listed as working with. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Planmore is for
- Fits if you want a paper-style planner on iPhone and iPad
- Works for people who'd rather pay once, with lifetime access at $29.99
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you use Android, Windows or a browser, as it's iPhone and iPad only
- Tight if you're staying free and want subtasks, shared or unlimited task lists, which need the upgrade
- Watch out: a $19.99 Premium Version sits unexplained next to the $29.99 lifetime purchase
- Not for you if you need Google or Outlook links, as Apple Reminders and iCloud are the only ones listed
- Watch out: the store lists No Ads as a paid feature while the release notes say ads were removed for free users
Good to know
Good for
- iPhone and iPad users who like the layout of a paper planner
- Keeping events, tasks, Reminders and notes in a single app
- People who prefer a one-time purchase to a subscription
Worth knowing
- The vendor's page and store listing describe an iPhone and iPad app that syncs through iCloud; they mention no Android, web or Windows version.
- Agenda views, unlimited task lists, subtasks, shared task lists, stickers and schedule export are listed as advanced features that need an upgrade.
- The US App Store shows a $19.99 "Premium Version" purchase next to the $29.99 "Lifetime Subscription" without explaining the difference.
- The store description lists "No Ads" among the paid features, while the 4.8.7 release notes say banner and interstitial ads were removed for free users.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Your call
A daily planner at its plainest is today's tasks laid along a timeline.
You could make the core of Planmore for yourself: calendar, tasks and notes. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. At $14.99 a year it costs less than the weekend it would take to replace, which is the argument for keeping it.
What you could make
- Calendar, tasks and notes: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- A real app for iOS. Something home-made would be a web page.
- Hooks into the device itself: widgets.
What this rests on. Planmore’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
