Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.4

GPA, above 10 of the 14 other webinar and live streaming tools we grade

Restream is a multistreaming service: it takes one live video, from its own browser studio or from software such as OBS or Zoom, and sends it to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and other channels at once, with their comments gathered in one chat. Restream Studio adds guests, scenes, overlays and cloud recording. Webinars with a registration page and a replay are sold as an add-on to the paid plans.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Restream, taken from its own pages and our grades.

Guests join from a browser, but you connect each channel and build scenes and overlays in Studio, or set up OBS to stream in.

The report card

Best for streaming to several platforms at once

Restream takes one live video and sends it to YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, Facebook and more at the same time, with all the comments in one chat. You can stream from its browser studio or from OBS. Standard covers three channels for $190 a year, but the studio stays at 720p until Professional, and webinars cost an extra $99 a month.

ToolGPA report cardRestreamGraded Oct 18, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyBStreaming to three platforms means Standard: $190 a year billed annually, or $19 by the month. Against the tools doing the same job, that's level with Ecamm and Castr and well under StreamYard's Core, so it sits in the cheapest band. Webinars are an extra $99 a month.
Free plan and trialCThere's a free plan that never runs out, and it really streams: 2 channels at once and 6 people on screen in Studio. But Restream branding sits on the stream, it's 720p, and there's no cloud recording.
FeaturesCIt does the multistreaming job fully: 30 or more platforms, custom RTMP and SRT, one chat for every channel, combined stats, and recorded video streamed as live. The gaps: Studio stays at 720p on Standard, and webinars and clips are paid add-ons.
Ease of useCNo App Store rating on record. Guests join from a browser, but you connect each channel and build scenes and overlays in Studio, or set up OBS to stream in.
Platforms and integrationsBA web app, with no desktop or phone app listed, but it streams to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, LinkedIn, X and TikTok, takes feeds from OBS, Zoom and game consoles, and can send a webinar into Slack.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.4

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Restream is for

  • Great if you go live on YouTube, Twitch and LinkedIn at the same time
  • Handy when you already stream from OBS and want one feed sent everywhere
  • Good for creators who want every channel's comments in one place

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you want 1080p from the browser studio without paying for Professional
  • Pricey if you mostly want webinars, which cost $99 a month on top of the plan
  • Tight if you're staying free, with Restream branding and only 2 channels

Good to know

Good for

  • Creators who go live on several platforms at the same time
  • Streamers who already use OBS and want one feed sent everywhere
  • Companies streaming launches or town halls to social channels and Slack

Worth knowing

  • Studio streams at 720p on Free and Standard; 1080p needs Professional, and recordings are kept 15 days (30 on Business).
  • Extra team seats cost $25 a seat a month and are sold only on Professional and Business.

10/14

Other webinar and live streaming tools it is graded above

Restream's GPA of 2.4 is higher than 10 of the 14 other webinar and live streaming tools we grade, and level with 3.

It stands best on value for money (B, above 11 of 14) and worst on features (C, above 0).

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Restream you would be making one live stream sent to several platforms at once. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.4 is higher than 10 of the 14 other webinar and live streaming tools we grade. It costs $228 a year.

What you could not

  • One live stream sent to several platforms at once.
  • Live video to hundreds of people at once.
  • Speech turned into text you can trust.
  • It plugs into other products, YouTube, Facebook and Twitch among them.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.

What this rests on. Restream’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
