Ryte review (2026): is it worth it?
Website quality platform for SEO audits, speed and GDPR checks
Ryte report card
Weak · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 23, 2026
Best for SEO, speed, accessibility and GDPR in one crawl
Ryte crawls a site and reports on technical SEO, speed, accessibility, GDPR consent problems and carbon emissions in one place, joined with Search Console data. But it's quote-only, with no self-serve sign-up. Semrush bought it in July 2024, and the newest product update on Ryte's own site is from April 2025.
Who Ryte is for
- Fits if you run a large European site that needs SEO, speed, accessibility and GDPR checks together
- Works for agencies that want one partner license across many client domains
Who Ryte is not for
- Not for you if you want a price up front, as quotes depend on sessions and features
- Skip it if you want to sign up and try it yourself, since there's no free plan or self-serve route
- Watch out: Semrush owns it now, and the latest product update on its site dates from April 2025
- Tight if you're an agency past 5 million URLs or 1 million sessions a month, the large partner license's limit
Why Ryte gets a 1.8
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- CValue for moneyNo price is published. Quotes depend on monthly sessions, features and services, so you only get a figure on a sales call.
- FFree plan and trialNothing free on record. There's no free plan or self-serve sign-up, and access starts with a demo or a quote.
- CFeaturesCrawls with JavaScript rendering, flags Search Console keywords that get few clicks, runs SEO A/B tests and checks speed, accessibility and GDPR consent. It sits at C because the newest product update on its site is from April 2025, after Semrush bought it for Semrush Enterprise.
- CEase of useNo rating on record. It's an enterprise platform with crawls, segments, alert thresholds and Search Console and Analytics accounts to set up, and you start with a demo.
- BPlatforms and integrationsWeb only. It connects to Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and Slack, and has a public API.

Keep Ryte, or make your own?
Keep it
Nothing Ryte does is plain enough to make in a weekend. The 5 things listed below take a company.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 74 of the 83 other technical SEO tools grade higher.
What you could not
- A crawler that checks every page of a site.
- Speed tests run from real browsers on a schedule.
- Splitting visitors between versions and telling you which won.
- Connections that pull numbers from dozens of other services.
- It plugs into other products, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and Slack among them, and has an API.
What this rests on. Ryte’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
