Spreadconnect report card

3.0GPA

Very good · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 18, 2026

Best for fast print on demand from US and EU plants

Spreadconnect, formerly SPOD, is Spreadshirt's print-on-demand service, and it says 95% of orders are made and shipped within 48 hours from its US and European facilities. There's no subscription or fee at all. The catch for many sellers: Etsy isn't one of its integrations, and Amazon and eBay only work through Order Desk.

Who Spreadconnect is for

  • Great if you sell on Shopify or TikTok Shop and want fast US or EU production
  • Good for brands that already know Spreadshirt or Spreadshop
  • Handy when you want no monthly fee at all, whatever you sell

Who Spreadconnect is not for

  • Skip it if you sell on Etsy, as it isn't among the integrations
  • Not for you if you sell on Amazon or eBay and don't want to add Order Desk
  • Tight if you ship worldwide, as some countries are out of reach from its facilities

Why Spreadconnect gets a 3.0

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • AValue for moneyThe figure is $0 a month: no setup, subscription or running fees, and you pay the base price, shipping and tax per order. Each extra print area adds $5, and flex or flock prints add a one-time $2.50 per order. Its rival printers are free to sell on too.
  • AFree plan and trialFree outright. No upfront costs, no subscription and no fees, with an unlimited number of products per store.
  • CFeaturesFast and complete for apparel, mugs and caps: 250+ products, DTG, sublimation, DTF and flex prints, a design tool with a design library, and an API. The gap: Etsy isn't among its integrations, and it can't ship to some countries.
  • CEase of useNo store rating on record. You connect a store such as Shopify or WooCommerce, design in the drag-and-drop tool and publish, so there's setup before your first sale.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb, with Shopify, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce, Squarespace, Magento and Shopware, Amazon and eBay through Order Desk, and an API. No phone or desktop app on record.

Keep Spreadconnect, or make your own?

Keep it

Spreadconnect is free, so making your own would save you nothing.

And it is not the kind of software a weekend replaces.

What you could not

  • Printers that make and ship each order.
  • It plugs into other products, Shopify, TikTok Shop and WooCommerce among them, and has an API.

What this rests on. Spreadconnect’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
