Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.4
GPA, above 8 of the 43 other habit trackers we grade
Streaks is a habit tracker for Apple devices that its developer describes as a to-do list for forming good habits. You choose or create up to 24 tasks; each day a task is completed its streak is extended, and a missed day resets the streak to zero. Tasks linked to the Health app can be completed automatically. The app is a paid download from the App Store with no in-app purchases listed.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Streaks, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Pick a task from the list or write your own, then tap it each day.
- 1
Best for simple streak-keeping on Apple devices
Android, Windows and web users should look elsewhere.
- 2
What it costs
Paid plans start at $5.99 one-time purchase.
- 3
It runs on 2 platforms
iOS and macOS.
- 4
Up to 24 tasks with streaks
Choose or create up to 24 tasks. Completing a task extends its streak by a day, and breaking the chain resets the streak to zero.
- 5
Flexible schedules
A task does not have to be daily: set the days it applies to, or a weekly frequency, so that days off do not break the streak.
- 6
Health app tracking
Tasks linked to the iOS Health app, such as steps or running distance, are recognized as complete automatically.
- 7
Refunds: no set window
Streaks is bought once in Apple's App Store, so there is no plan running in the background and nothing to remember to cancel. The flip side is the refund: Crunchy Bagel says it cannot give you one, because Apple took the money, and Apple alone decides.
- 8
A 2.4 GPA, above 8 of 43
That is against the other habit trackers we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

The report card
Best for simple streak-keeping on Apple devices
Streaks is an Apple-only habit tracker: pick up to 24 tasks, do them, and each streak grows; miss a day and it's back to zero. It's $5.99 once for iPhone, iPad, Watch, Mac and Vision, with no subscription. But there's no free version or trial to try first, nothing outside Apple, and 24 tasks is a hard ceiling. Android, Windows and web users should look elsewhere.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | $5.99 once, and that purchase covers iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple Vision with no in-app purchases listed. This category's middle subscription is $3.33 a month, so the price equals under two months of that. |
| Free plan and trial | F | Nothing free at all. It's a paid download at $5.99 and the listing shows no free version and no trial, so you buy it to find out whether it suits you. |
| Features | C | It does streaks: days you can skip without breaking the chain, a weekly frequency instead of daily, Health-linked tasks like steps that complete themselves, negative tasks, timed tasks, widgets and Watch complications. But the listing names the ceiling at 24 tasks, and this is a smaller job than the category's. |
| Ease of use | A | 4.8 on the App Store from about 27,000 ratings, an A on our ladder. Pick a task from the list or write your own, then tap it each day. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | Apple only: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple Vision, synced through iCloud, with Apple Health and Siri Shortcuts. No Android, Windows or web version is offered, so a household on mixed phones can't share it. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Streaks is for
- Fits if all your devices are Apple and you track 24 habits or fewer
- Works for people who'd sooner pay $5.99 once than subscribe
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you use Android or Windows, as it's Apple devices only
- Not for you if you want to try before you buy, since there's no free version or trial
- Tight if you track a lot, because it stops at 24 tasks
- Watch out: a broken chain resets the streak to zero, unless you set the task's days or a weekly frequency
- Too light for a household on mixed phones, since sharing works only with other Streaks users on Apple
Good to know
Good for
- People who want a simple habit tracker on Apple devices
- Habits the Health app can confirm automatically, such as daily steps
- Buyers who prefer a one-time purchase to a subscription
Worth knowing
- Listed only for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple Vision Pro; no Android, Windows or web version is offered.
- The app tracks at most 24 tasks.
- It is a paid download at $5.99; no free version or trial is listed.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Your call
A habit tracker at its plainest is a list of habits, a tick for each day and a count of the streak.
You could make the core of Streaks for yourself: habit tracking and tasks. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. At $5.99, paid once, it costs less than the weekend it would take to replace, which is the argument for keeping it.
What you could make
- Habit tracking and tasks: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- Apps for macOS and iOS that stay in step with each other.
- Hooks into the device itself: an Apple Watch app, widgets, Siri and Shortcuts.
- Sharing with other people, which means accounts and invitations.
What this rests on. Streaks’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
Part 05 · Refunds
After you pay
Getting your money back, getting out, and getting help
What happens once you have paid: whether you can get your money back, how to leave, and how to reach a person when something goes wrong. Each is graded from Streaks’s own terms and help pages.
Refunds and cancelling
Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026
Streaks is bought once in Apple's App Store, so there is no plan running in the background and nothing to remember to cancel. The flip side is the refund: Crunchy Bagel says it cannot give you one, because Apple took the money, and Apple alone decides. That is how every app sold this way works, and on our scale it is a C.
- Refund window
- No set window
- How you cancel
- See below
- Getting your money back
The support page says Apple handles all App Store payments and that developers cannot issue refunds themselves. You request one from Apple through its Report a Problem page. Streaks names no refund window of its own, and its pages do not say what Apple is likely to decide.
Stated on streaks.app- How to cancel Streaks
There is nothing to cancel. The support page answers the question directly: Streaks is not a subscription, it is a one-time purchase. The App Store listing shows a single price with no in-app purchases, covering iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and Apple Vision.
Stated on streaks.app- What you keep afterwards
There is no account to close and no plan to lose. Tasks sync through your own iCloud account rather than a Streaks account, the app backs them up automatically, and the help topics cover restoring from a backup and exporting task data. Nothing is said about data being deleted, because none of it sits on the maker's servers.
Stated on streaks.app- Renewals
Nothing renews. The support page says Streaks is a one-time purchase and not a subscription, so there is no billing period and no annual charge to watch for. It adds that the purchase works with Family Sharing, and that a family member can download it from Purchases in the App Store.
Stated on streaks.app
In your favour
- You pay once. There is no subscription, no renewal date and nothing to cancel.
- Family Sharing is supported, so one purchase covers the household.
- Your tasks live in your own iCloud, and the help topics cover backup and export.
Watch out for
- Crunchy Bagel cannot refund you. Apple took the money and Apple decides.
- No page says what Apple is likely to do, so the answer is out of the maker's hands.
Customer support
Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026
For a two-person shop this is tidy: a help centre inside the app, the same topics on the website, and an email address that goes to the people who wrote it. Writing from the app's Help screen attaches your device details, which is a thoughtful touch. What you do not get is any promise of speed. Crunchy Bagel says only that it is a small team and may take a while. An email with no stated reply time is a C.
Ways to get help
Email
The support page gives an email address and says the team reads every message, while warning that a small team may take a little while to reply. The App Store listing points to the same address for questions and feedback.
Stated on streaks.appHelp inside the app
A built-in Help Center reached from the gear button and then the question mark, or from Settings, then Help. From there you can search the topics, replay the tutorial, check for an update or email the team with your device and app details attached.
Stated on streaks.appHelp centre
The same help topics on the website, covering tasks, widgets, the Apple Watch, archived tasks, iCloud sync problems, Health tasks, backups and exporting data, plus release notes. Open to anyone.
Stated on streaks.app
Not listed on Streaks’s pages: live chat, phone.
- When people answer
Its pages do not say.
- How fast it says it replies
Its pages do not say.
- What depends on your plan
Its pages do not say.
In your favour
- Emailing from inside the app attaches your device and app details, so you repeat less.
- The help topics are specific, from frozen watch complications to tasks that will not sync.
- There is one price and one tier, so nobody is in a slower queue than anybody else.
Watch out for
- No reply time is promised. The page says only that a small team may take a while.
- No hours are given, and there is no chat or phone line of any kind.
- Payment and refund questions are Apple's, not the maker's, so email will not solve them.
What these two grades rest on. Read on 18 October 2026: the Streaks support page, which answers refunds, cancelling and how to get help in one place, the Streaks home page and the app's App Store listing. The maker, Crunchy Bagel, publishes no separate terms or refund policy, and streaksapp.com now redirects to streaks.app. Nobody here asked for a refund or contacted its support. They are graded apart from the five that make the GPA. How we grade refunds and support.
