Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.0
GPA, above 5 of the 51 other AI agents we grade
Tasklet is a platform for persistent AI agents that carry out business work across connected tools. You describe a goal in plain English, connect services such as Gmail, Slack or HubSpot, and the agent can then run as an automation on a schedule or when an event such as a new email arrives. Agents, connections and knowledge can be shared across a team, and billing is by a shared pool of credits rather than per user. Tasklet is operated by Shortwave Communications, Inc.
To get you started, here are 8 things to know about Tasklet, taken from its own pages and our grades.
You describe the job in plain English, and the whole team shares one pool of credits with no charge per person.
- 1
Best for team automations with no per-seat fee
Tasklet builds agents for routine business work, such as drafting replies, filing reports and updating the CRM.
- 2
Paid plans start at $25 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $25 per month (Starter, 10,000 credits shared by the organization).
- 3
It runs on 2 platforms
Web and macOS.
- 4
Persistent agents with memory
Each agent keeps its instructions, knowledge and memory across separate threads and draws on earlier conversations and files. Every plan allows an unlimited number of agents.
- 5
Automations
Agents run on a schedule or when triggered by a new email, a webhook, an RSS feed or a text message, and keep working in the cloud while you are offline.
- 6
Connections, APIs and a browser
Over 3,000 built-in integrations, plus any HTTP API or MCP server. Where a service has no API, an agent can use a dedicated web browser to log in and fill out forms.
- 7
A 2.0 GPA, above 5 of 51
That is against the other AI agents we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 8
Keep it
To replace Tasklet you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for team automations with no per-seat fee
Tasklet builds agents for routine business work, such as drafting replies, filing reports and updating the CRM. You describe the job in plain English, and the whole team shares one pool of credits with no charge per person. But there's no free plan and no trial, credits don't roll over, the desktop app is for Macs only, and finding out if it suits you costs at least $25.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | Starter is $25 a month, mid-table against the $21.25 agent tools here charge in the middle. What keeps it there rather than lower is that the price is per organization, not per person: unlimited members share 10,000 credits, plus 600 on days you use it. Credits don't roll over. Pro is $100 for 40,000. |
| Free plan and trial | F | Nothing is free. The pricing FAQ says plainly that Tasklet requires payment to use: no free plan, no trial, not even a card-free look around. The cheapest way in is $25, as a month of Starter or a one-time pack of credits. |
| Features | B | It covers the whole job. Agents keep instructions and memory between threads and run on a schedule or when an email, webhook, RSS item or text arrives. They reach 3,000+ integrations, any HTTP API or MCP server, and a browser of their own where a service has no API. Lindy and gumloop do the same, so no A. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record. You describe the goal in plain English, but nothing runs until you've connected Gmail, Slack or whatever else the job touches and decided what needs your approval first. That's accounts and permissions before any output. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | A web app plus a desktop app for Apple silicon Macs on macOS 13 or later. Windows is still a waitlist and there's no phone app at all. Connections are what lift it to B: 3,000+ integrations including Gmail, Slack, HubSpot and Salesforce, plus any HTTP API or MCP server. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Tasklet is for
- Fits if several people need agents and you don't want to pay per seat
- Works for chores that repeat every week, like inbox drafts, reports and CRM updates
Who it is not for
- Not for you if you want to try before you pay, as there's no free plan or trial and the floor is $25
- Skip it if you're on Windows or want a phone app: Windows is still a waitlist and there's no mobile app
- Tight if your usage comes in bursts, because monthly credits reset and the 600 bonus credits only come on days you use the app
- Watch out: one-time credit packs leave out the agent browser, unlimited automation runs and full-size file uploads
- Pricey if 10,000 credits a month isn't enough, since the next plan, Pro, is $100 a month for 40,000
Good to know
Good for
- Teams that want many people using agents without paying per seat
- Automating recurring work such as inbox drafts, reports and CRM updates
- Non-developers who want to set up automations by describing them
Worth knowing
- There is no free plan or free trial: the pricing FAQ says Tasklet requires payment to use, from $25 a month or a $25 one-time credit purchase.
- Monthly credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over, and the 600 daily bonus credits are granted only on days you use the app.
- The desktop app is for Apple silicon Macs on macOS 13 or later; Windows has a waitlist, and the site lists no mobile app.
- The pricing FAQ ties the agent web browser, unlimited automation runs and full-size file uploads to a monthly plan rather than one-time credits.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Tasklet you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 40 of the 51 other AI agents grade higher. It costs $300 a year.
What you could not
- An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- A builder that other people can use without writing code.
- A tool that builds and hosts other apps.
- A real app for macOS. Something home-made would be a web page.
- What a company asks for before it lets staff use something: roles and permissions.
- Sharing with other people, which means accounts and invitations.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Tasklet’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
