Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.2

GPA, above 13 of the 23 other web hosts we grade

UltaHost sells cPanel shared hosting, managed WordPress hosting, VPS, VDS and dedicated servers from more than 30 data center locations. Shared plans run on NVMe storage with unmetered bandwidth, daily backups, free SSL, a web application firewall and malware scanning, and the company moves existing sites over free. It was founded in 2018 and incorporated in the US as UltaHost, Inc. in 2021.

To get you started, here are 8 things to know about UltaHost, taken from its own pages and our grades.

cPanel and one-click WordPress installs are familiar, and they'll move your site over for you, but you're still setting up a site.
From our grade for ease of use
  1. 1

Best for cheap cPanel hosting that renews at the same price

UltaHost sells cheap cPanel hosting, and the unusual bit is that each plan card says it renews at the price you paid.

  2. 2

As its pricing page puts it: $2.88 per month on a 3-year term (Starter); $4.39 billed monthly.

  4. 4

    cPanel and one-click installs

Every shared plan includes a cPanel license, with its tools also reachable from the client area, one-click installs for WordPress, Joomla and phpBB, and a free drag-and-drop site builder.

  5. 5

    NVMe storage and unmetered bandwidth

Shared plans run on NVMe SSD storage with no limit on traffic, from more than 30 data center locations in the US, Canada, Germany, India, Singapore and elsewhere.

  6. 6

The report card

Best for cheap cPanel hosting that renews at the same price

UltaHost sells cheap cPanel hosting, and the unusual bit is that each plan card says it renews at the price you paid. Starter on a 2-year term is $3.44 a month with daily backups, a firewall and free migration. But it's one domain and about 10,000 visits a month, and the prices are billed as a flash sale with no end date.

ToolGPA report cardUltaHostGraded Oct 18, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyAStarter on a 2-year term is $3.44 a month, and the plan card says it renews at that rate, so two years stay at $3.44 a month, well under what an A needs here. Even month to month it's $4.39. The catch: it's labeled a flash sale off crossed-out prices.
Free plan and trialFNothing free on record: no free plan and no trial. There's a 30-day refund on a first hosting order, but that isn't a trial, and domains and cPanel licenses are left out of it.
FeaturesBcPanel, NVMe storage, unmetered bandwidth, daily backups, a firewall, malware scanning, DDoS protection, free SSL and free migration on every shared plan. Starter's limits are tight, one domain and about 10,000 visits, but nothing in the core job is missing.
Ease of useCNo app store rating to go on. cPanel and one-click WordPress installs are familiar, and they'll move your site over for you, but you're still setting up a site.
Platforms and integrationsCA web panel only. The named integrations are cPanel, WordPress, Joomla, phpBB, LiteSpeed and CyberPanel, with no API on record.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.2

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who UltaHost is for

  • Great if you want hosting that won't jump in price when the first term ends
  • Handy when a small blog or business site just needs cPanel for a few dollars
  • Good for owners who may move up to a VPS with the same company later

Who it is not for

  • Tight if you run more than one site, as Starter hosts one domain
  • Skip it if you want to try before paying, as there's no trial
  • Not for you if you'd pay in crypto and want the 30-day refund, as crypto payments are excluded

Good to know

Good for

  • Small sites and blogs on a tight budget
  • Buyers who want cPanel with daily backups included
  • Owners who expect to move up to a VPS with the same company

Worth knowing

  • Prices are labeled a limited-time flash sale off crossed-out rates, with no end date, though each plan card says it renews at the price paid.
  • Refunds cover the first 30 days of a first hosting order only; domains, cPanel licenses, promo-code purchases and crypto payments are excluded.
  • Starter hosts one domain and about 10,000 visits a month; unlimited domains start with the Business plan.
  • Terms renew automatically for the same length unless you give notice at least 15 days before the term ends.

Keep it, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace UltaHost you would be making servers kept running, patched and backed up for you. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $34.56 a year.

What you could not

  • Servers kept running, patched and backed up for you.
  • An engine that recognises new malware as it appears.
  • It plugs into other products, cPanel, WordPress and Joomla among them.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. UltaHost’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
