Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.6
GPA, above 146 of the 157 other AI search visibility tools we grade
ZipTie (styled ziptie.ai) tracks what seven AI search engines say about a brand, measuring citations, mentions and sentiment and rolling them into one score per prompt. An Action Center ranks the gaps to close, and fixes can be marked on the trend line. There are no fixed tiers: the price is built from the number of prompts, how often they run and how many engines check them.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about ZipTie, taken from its own pages and our grades.
You choose prompts, cadences and engines per project in a calculator, and which engines run depends on the country.
- 1
Best for AI tracking priced per prompt and engine
Unused time isn't refunded if you cancel mid-period.
- 2
Paid plans start at $25.65 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $25.65 per month for 30 daily prompts on 3 engines, billed monthly.

- 5
Seven AI engines
Checks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Bing AI Overview and Gemini, at the same price per engine.
- 6
AI Success Score
Combines citation rate, mention rate and sentiment into a 0 to 100 score for each prompt and a trend line for the project.
- 7
Daily, weekly or monthly checks
Cadence is set per project, so key prompts can run daily and long-tail prompts monthly from one shared pool.

The report card
Best for AI tracking priced per prompt and engine
ZipTie has no fixed plans: you build your own from prompts, engines and how often they run, at about a cent a check, and the smallest preset is $25.65 a month for 30 daily prompts on three engines. But the API, MCP and content writing are paid add-ons, UGC analysis adds 80% to the cost, and the trial skips most engines. Unused time isn't refunded if you cancel mid-period.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | B | The Starter preset is $25.65 a month for 30 daily prompts on 3 engines, inside this category's cheapest quarter, which starts at $29. Yearly billing takes 20% off the prompt cost. The API and MCP are $10 a month extra. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan, but a 7-day trial with 25 daily prompts and no card. It only covers ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Copilot, though. |
| Features | B | Seven engines, AI Mode, Gemini and Bing's AI Overview among them, at the same price each, a 0 to 100 score per prompt, daily to monthly checks, an Action Center, competitor ranking and organic results alongside. Nothing in the listing shows a gap in the core job. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record. You choose prompts, cadences and engines per project in a calculator, and which engines run depends on the country. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web only, with no desktop or phone app. Search Console connects, Excel exports and share links need no account, and the API and MCP are a $10 add-on. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who ZipTie is for
- Fits if you want to pay only for the prompts and engines you track
- Works for agencies that need white-label PDF reports on every plan
Who it is not for
- Tight if you want content written for you, as that's $20 a month per brand extra
- Skip it if you might cancel mid-period, since unused time isn't refunded
- Pricey if you want UGC Impact Analysis, which adds 80% to the prompt cost, or the API and MCP at $10 more
- Watch out: the trial covers only ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Copilot, and engines vary by country
Good to know
Good for
- Agencies with many clients: seats, projects and competitors are never charged
- Teams that want to pay only for the prompts and engines they choose
- Tracking a long tail of prompts cheaply on a monthly check
Worth knowing
- Add-ons cost extra: API and MCP access $10 a month, content generation $20 a month per brand context, and UGC Impact Analysis adds 80% to the prompt cost.
- The trial covers only ChatGPT, AI Overviews and Copilot; other engines need a paid plan.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period, and unused time is not refunded.
- Which engines can run depends on the country chosen for each project.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
The plain part of ZipTie you could make: reports. What surrounds it you could not. The 4 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.
It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.6 is higher than 146 of the 157 other AI search visibility tools we grade. It costs $307.80 a year.
What you could make
- Reports: an app builder makes this well.
What you could not
- The same prompts asked of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI answers every day, and the answers kept.
- A score built from what the top results for each keyword cover.
- It plugs into other products, Google Search Console among them, and has an API.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. ZipTie’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
