Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.6

GPA, above 27 of the 51 other AI agents we grade

Zo Computer gives each user a cloud computer with file storage, hosting and an AI agent that works on it around the clock. The agent builds and hosts websites and services, runs scheduled automations and acts across connected apps, and it can be reached from the web and desktop apps or by text, email, Telegram, Discord and Slack. Plans are priced by the size of the computer and include a monthly allowance of AI credits; you can also bring your own model API keys.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Zo Computer, taken from its own pages and our grades.

It builds and hosts websites, runs scheduled jobs with your laptop shut, and answers texts and emails.

The report card

Best for a cloud computer with an agent that hosts things

Zo gives you a cloud computer of your own with an agent on it. It builds and hosts websites, runs scheduled jobs with your laptop shut, and answers texts and emails. Basic is $18 a month, but there's no free plan to stay on: after the 14-day trial you can only recover your files. AI credits stop at $10 a month on Basic, and there's no phone app.

ToolGPA report cardZo ComputerGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyBBasic is $18 a month, just inside the cheapest quarter of what agent tools here charge, for an always-on computer with 4 cores, 32 GB of RAM, 100 GB of disk, 5 hosted services and 3 custom domains. The AI allowance is $10 of credits a month.
Free plan and trialCNo lasting free plan. The 14-day trial needs no card, but the computer sleeps when idle, AI usage is limited and you get 1 hosted service. After that ordinary access ends and only recovery sessions remain, though your files stay retrievable.
FeaturesBIt covers the whole job. The agent builds websites, storefronts and full-stack apps and hosts them on the same machine, on your own domain; recurring jobs are described in a sentence and it sets the schedule; and there's a remote browser, a terminal, 1,000+ integrations and an MCP server. Manus covers this too, no A.
Ease of useCNo rating on record, and this is a computer rather than an app. You describe a site or a job in a sentence, but behind it sit hosted services, custom domains, credit budgets and integrations to connect. Every channel you message it on lands in one inbox.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb plus desktop apps for Mac, Windows and Linux, and no phone app at all, though you can reach it by iMessage, SMS, email, Telegram, Discord or Slack. One-click connections cover Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion and GitHub, with 1,000+ integrations, an API and an MCP server behind them.
Grade point averageGood, out of 4.02.6

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Zo Computer is for

  • Fits if you can't code and want a website or small app built and hosted for you
  • Works for reports, reminders and follow-ups that should run on a schedule without your laptop

Who it is not for

  • Not for you if you want a free plan to stay on, as computer access ends after the 14-day trial
  • Tight if you lean on the built-in models, with $10 of AI credits a month on Basic; past that you buy credits or bring your own API keys
  • Skip it if you want a phone app, since only Mac, Windows and Linux apps are listed
  • Watch out: the trial has no custom domains, sleeps when idle and allows 1 hosted service
  • Pricey if you outgrow Basic, since the next plan, Pro, is $64 a month

Good to know

Good for

  • Non-developers who want a website or small app built and hosted
  • Scheduled background work such as reports, reminders and follow-ups
  • People who want to reach an agent by text message or email

Worth knowing

  • There is no lasting free plan: after the 14-day trial, ordinary computer access ends and only recovery sessions remain.
  • Included AI credits are capped by plan at $10, $40 or $100 a month; more usage needs bought credits or your own API keys.
  • Custom domains are not included in the Free Trial; Basic allows 3, Pro 5 and Ultra 10.
  • The desktop guide lists Mac, Windows and Linux (.deb) apps but no iOS or Android app.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Zo Computer you would be making an AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $216 a year.

What you could not

  • An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
  • Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
  • A tool that builds and hosts other apps.
  • An AI model, which you can rent by the request but not make.
  • Apps for macOS, Windows and Linux that stay in step with each other.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Zo Computer’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
