How we grade them

Value for money
BStudio is $295 to buy a license, with no subscription period listed. That's about two years of what video tools here typically charge, paid once. On iPad the Studio upgrade is a $94.99 in-app purchase. Fair for what it adds, and many won't need it at all.
B$49.99 a year, or $79.99 once, is cheap for an editor that does this much. But AI credits, the stock library and the phone apps are all extra.
Free plan and trial
AThe free version does editing, color, Fusion effects and Fairlight audio for 8-bit formats up to 60fps and Ultra HD, with HDR grading and multi-user collaboration thrown in. Most people could stay on it. 10-bit video, 120fps and the AI tools are what you'd pay for.
CUse it for as long as you like, but every video you export carries a Filmora watermark. Fine for learning. No good for posting.
Features
ATwo editing pages, node-based color correction, a 3D compositor for effects and titles, and audio with up to 2,000 tracks. Editors, colorists and sound engineers can work on the same project at once. This is the whole job of post-production, in depth.
AMulti-camera editing, motion tracking, colour curves, a screen recorder, captions in 27 languages and a pile of AI tools. More than most beginners will touch.
Ease of use
B4.5 from about 3,000 App Store ratings for the iPad app. The cut page is built for fast turnarounds, which helps. But color and effects are node-based, and that takes learning if you've only used simple editors.
BBuilt to be simple, and one reviewer who never learned Premiere says it's easy. But the phone app's reviews mention freezes, and the plans take some decoding.
Platforms and integrations
BMac, Windows and Linux, plus a separate app for iPad, and it trades projects with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Composer. No phone app and no browser version is listed.
CWindows and Mac, plus separate apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. But a desktop licence doesn't cover the phone apps, and there's no web or Linux version.
