How we grade them

|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C$1.50 a paid registration on Basic, $300 on 200 $20 tickets, or $376 on Pro at 1.9% + $1.50, which you need for more than one paid ticket type. Processing is on top and not counted. You can pass the fee to attendees. Towards the dear end, and Scale swaps fees for a yearly plan from $200 a month. | B3% of each paid ticket, so 200 tickets at $20 costs you $120 a month, with Stripe or PayPal fees on top that we haven't counted. You pay it, since Tito won't add it for buyers, and it's billed in euros. Still one of the cheapest here at this size. |
| Free plan and trial | BFree events cost nothing, with unlimited events, and no plan but Scale has a subscription. But premium features for free events, such as agendas and call for papers, need an add-on whose price isn't published. | ANo subscription or setup fee, and every feature is included whatever you sell. Free events cost nothing, so a meetup that never charges never pays a thing. |
| Features | BTicket types, donations, merchandise, invoices, agendas with session check-in, speaker and sponsor management, abstracts, badge printing, kiosks, virtual events and an event website builder. It covers the whole job, and then some for conferences. | CEmbedded checkout, waitlists, secret and invoice tickets, discount codes, pages in 15 languages and check-in apps cover a conference well. But there's no reserved seating or selling at the door on record, and the fee can't be passed to buyers. |
| Ease of use | CNo App Store rating on record. There's a lot here, from the website builder to badges and abstract reviews, so expect a learning curve before your first event goes live. | CNo App Store rating on record. You connect Stripe or PayPal and build an event page, and putting the checkout on your own site takes a snippet of code: easy for developers, less so for everyone else. |
| Platforms and integrations | BWeb, with Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.Net, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Zapier, webhooks and an API, plus an organizer mobile app for check-in. No desktop app, which an A needs. | BWeb, plus iPhone and Android check-in apps, with Stripe, PayPal, Google Tag Manager, Facebook, webhooks and a full read and write API. No desktop app, which an A needs. |
