Asana refund policy

Asana refunds and cancellation
Weak · checked Oct 12, 2026
Asana doesn't refund anything, and its own FAQ says so. The cancel button is easy enough to find: Admin console, Billing, Cancel plan. The trouble is the small print. The Subscriber Terms that apply from 16 September 2026 say a plan renews unless you give notice at least 30 days before the renewal date, and the help page says cancelling is subject to those terms. No refunds plus a notice period is a D on our ladder.

The Subscriber Terms say amounts due are non-cancelable and non-refundable unless the agreement provides otherwise. The exceptions are a prorated refund of unused fees if Asana does not fix a breach of its service warranty within 30 days of written notice, or if the customer ends the contract for cause. The pricing page's FAQ puts it shortly: Asana does not offer refunds.
Stated on asana.com- How to cancel Asana
For a plan bought online, a billing owner, admin or super admin cancels in the Admin console, under the Billing tab, and the help page says this can be done at any time. A manually invoiced subscription is cancelled by contacting support from the same tab. The page adds that cancelling is subject to the Subscriber Terms, and those ask for notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the renewal date.
- Click your profile photo in the top-right corner
- Select Admin console
- Open the Billing tab
- Under Plan details, select Cancel plan
- What you keep afterwards
The help page says a cancellation takes effect at the next renewal date, and the account then drops to the free Personal plan. Data is not deleted, but you lose paid features and access to projects and tasks that use them, which can still be exported to CSV. The Subscriber Terms also let Asana deactivate an account once all subscriptions end, with export on written request within 30 days.
Stated on help.asana.com- Renewals
The Subscriber Terms say a subscription renews automatically for a period equal to the last one, at Asana's then-current rates, unless either side gives notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the renewal date. Reducing seats or moving to a lower plan needs the same 30 days' written notice, which may be given in the app or by email. The terms mention no reminder before a renewal.

In your favour
- If you bought online, you cancel yourself in the Admin console, under Billing.
- Cancel and you keep the paid features until the period you paid for runs out.
- Your data isn't deleted when the account drops to the free Personal plan.
- A trial with no card on file just expires, and nothing is charged.
Watch out for
- No refunds. The pricing FAQ says so flatly.
- The Subscriber Terms want 30 days' notice before the renewal date, or the plan renews at the current rate.
- Cutting seats or moving to a cheaper plan needs the same 30 days' notice.
- On Personal you lose access to projects and tasks that used paid features, though you can export them to CSV.
Getting help from Asana
Good · checked Oct 12, 2026
Asana says its support team is there 24/7/365, and anyone can open a case, even on the free plan. That earns a B. It isn't an A because you don't get a live person: you go through a chatbot that suggests articles first, then files a ticket, and the answer comes by email. No reply time is given either.
Ways to get help
Contact form or ticket
Support cases are opened through the Asana Support chatbot on the Help Center home page. It suggests articles first, then takes your name, email and details and files a ticket, which is confirmed by email. The article lists every plan, Personal included.
