Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.0
GPA, above 1 of the 26 other AI app builders we grade
Dreamflow is a browser-based builder for Flutter apps from the team behind FlutterFlow. An AI agent generates screens and features from a prompt, and the same project can then be edited on a visual canvas or directly in code, with all three staying in sync. Apps connect to Firebase or Supabase and deploy to the web, the App Store and Google Play, with store deployment and code export reserved for paid plans.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Dreamflow, taken from its own pages and our grades.
A planner shows you the screens before it builds them, and Firebase and Supabase connect without separate setup.
- 1
Best for Flutter apps built by prompt, canvas and code
One project covers iPhone, Android and the web.
- 2
Paid plans start at $20 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $20 per month (Hobby).
- 3
You can try it first
Free plan: 10 one-time AI credits, with visual and code editing and web deployment. The credits do not renew.
- 4
It runs on Web
Web.
- 5
Agent, canvas and code in sync
A project can be changed by prompting the AI agent, by editing the visual canvas and widget tree, or by writing code, and each change shows up in the other two.
- 6
Screen Planner
Before generation starts, the planner lays out the app's screens so they can be reviewed and adjusted, a step the docs describe as a way to cut later rework.
- 7
Realtime preview and device testing
A managed run session compiles and previews the app live, and a QR code opens that preview on a phone. Paid plans can also run builds locally on simulators and real devices.
- 8
A 2.0 GPA, above 1 of 26
That is against the other AI app builders we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace Dreamflow you would be making a tool that builds and hosts other apps. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for Flutter apps built by prompt, canvas and code
Dreamflow builds Flutter apps three ways: prompt the AI, move things on a visual canvas, or edit the code, and each change shows up in the other two. One project covers iPhone, Android and the web. But it only does Flutter, the 10 free credits never renew, the app stores and code export start at $20 a month, Git needs $90, and two people can't share a repository.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | Hobby is $20 a month, a notch above the $19 middle for builders here and squarely in the ordinary band. It brings 100 credits, one-click App Store and Google Play deployment, full code export and runs on your own devices. Connecting a Git repository jumps to Pro at $90. |
| Free plan and trial | C | The Free plan hands you 10 AI credits, once, and they don't renew, so it's a taster rather than somewhere to settle. You do keep visual and code editing and one-click web deployment. Whether signing up wants a card, the listing doesn't say. |
| Features | C | It does the Flutter job fully: prompt, canvas and code editing one project in sync, a Screen Planner before generation, live preview by QR code, Firebase or Supabase for login and data, and deployment to the web and both stores. But it's a narrower job, and the docs say two people can't share a repository. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record. A planner shows you the screens before it builds them, and Firebase and Supabase connect without separate setup. But you're into a widget tree and Flutter code soon enough, with run sessions and simulators to learn. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | A web app only for building, nothing on desktop or phone. The integration list runs to three — Firebase, Supabase and GitHub — with no API of its own on record, which is thin beside its rivals. What it builds does run on iPhone, Android and the web. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Dreamflow is for
- Fits if you want one Flutter codebase for iPhone, Android and the web
- Works for FlutterFlow users who want an AI-first tool from the same team
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you don't want Flutter, because that's all it builds and all its Git import accepts
- Not for you if you build as a team, as the docs say several people can't work in the same repository and send collaboration to Enterprise
- Pricey if you need Git, since connecting a repository takes Pro at $90 a month
- Tight if you're staying free: the 10 AI credits are a one-time grant, and store deployment and code export need Hobby at $20
- Watch out: it connects to three services, Firebase, Supabase and GitHub, with no API of its own on record
Good to know
Good for
- Building one Flutter codebase for iOS, Android and the web
- Developers who want to move between AI prompts, a visual canvas and code
- FlutterFlow users who want an AI-first workflow from the same team
Worth knowing
- The Free plan's 10 AI credits are a one-time starter grant that does not renew.
- App Store and Google Play deployment, code export and local runs need Hobby at $20 a month; Git needs Pro at $90.
- Dreamflow builds Flutter apps only, and its Git import accepts only Flutter repositories.
- The docs say several people cannot work in the same repository; team collaboration is routed to the Enterprise plan.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Dreamflow you would be making a tool that builds and hosts other apps. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 25 of the 26 other AI app builders grade higher. It costs $240 a year.
What you could not
- A tool that builds and hosts other apps.
- A builder that other people can use without writing code.
- An AI agent, with the models and the safeguards behind it.
- Hooks into the device itself: widgets.
What this rests on. Dreamflow’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
