Who each one suits
Dreamflow
- Building one Flutter codebase for iOS, Android and the web
- Developers who want to move between AI prompts, a visual canvas and code
- FlutterFlow users who want an AI-first workflow from the same team
Rork
- Non-developers who want to ship a native app to the App Store or Google Play
- Founders building subscription apps, with RevenueCat paywalls built in
- Developers who want an AI-written Swift or Kotlin codebase to continue in an IDE
Worth knowing
Dreamflow
- The Free plan's 10 AI credits are a one-time starter grant that does not renew.
- App Store and Google Play deployment, code export and local runs need Hobby at $20 a month; Git needs Pro at $90.
- Dreamflow builds Flutter apps only, and its Git import accepts only Flutter repositories.
- The docs say several people cannot work in the same repository; team collaboration is routed to the Enterprise plan.
Rork
- The Free plan runs Design mode only: it proposes screens but cannot build, test or publish a working app.
- iPad, Apple Watch and Vision Pro apps, native games and iOS widgets need Rork Max, from $200 a month.
- iOS builds and cloud simulator sessions are charged in credits on top of the message that started them.
- The iPhone app lists Swift and web projects only; Android projects do not appear in it.
Key features
Dreamflow
- Agent, canvas and code in sync
- A project can be changed by prompting the AI agent, by editing the visual canvas and widget tree, or by writing code, and each change shows up in the other two.
- Screen Planner
- Before generation starts, the planner lays out the app's screens so they can be reviewed and adjusted, a step the docs describe as a way to cut later rework.
- Realtime preview and device testing
- A managed run session compiles and previews the app live, and a QR code opens that preview on a phone. Paid plans can also run builds locally on simulators and real devices.
- Firebase and Supabase integrations
- Built-in connections to Firebase and Supabase give an app its authentication and database without separate setup.
- Deployment to web and app stores
- One-click web deployment is included on the Free plan. One-click deployment to the App Store and Google Play starts on Hobby.
- Code export and Git
- The output is a Flutter project with code as the source of truth. Full code export starts on Hobby, and connecting a Git repository needs Pro or above.
Rork
- Native iPhone, Android and web apps
- The agent writes SwiftUI for iPhone, Kotlin with Jetpack Compose for Android, and React for the web, and can convert an app between the three platforms.
- Design, Plan and Build modes
- Design mode proposes screens and a look before any code exists, Plan mode writes a plan for review, and Build mode produces working code on paid plans.
- Cloud simulator and device testing
- Apps run on a cloud iOS simulator or Android emulator beside the chat. The Rork Max iPhone app installs and runs Swift builds directly on a phone.
- Store publishing tools
- Rork uploads iPhone builds to TestFlight and the App Store, generates an AAB for Google Play, and includes an AI App Store Reviewer and Screenshot Studio.
- Rork Cloud backend
- A hosted backend that the agent provisions when an app needs to store data. It is in beta and free during the beta; Supabase and Firebase are also supported.
- GitHub sync and code access
- A two-way GitHub sync exports the project, and an iPhone app can be opened in Xcode. Editing code by hand in dev mode needs a paid plan.
