folk refund policy
folk states a refund policy with no set window, and you cancel in your own settings.
folk refunds and cancellation
Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026
folk's terms are blunt: all fees are non-refundable, including for unused services. The way out is easy enough, two clicks in Settings, and you keep the paid features to the end of the period. What you should plan for is the landing: there is no free plan to fall back on, and the terms say your account and content go when the subscription does. No refunds with a clean self-service exit is a C.

- No set window
- How you cancel
- Yourself, in settings
- Getting your money back
The terms of use say all fees are non-refundable, including for unused services or cancelled accounts, and that a cancellation only takes effect at the end of the subscription term. The one refund folk's pages mention is a workaround: the billing article says that if a tax ID could not be added to a first invoice, the team can cancel the subscription and refund it so you can pay again with the ID in place.
Stated on folk.app- How to cancel folk
A paid plan is cancelled in the app under Settings, then Plans, with Cancel subscription in the top right-hand corner. folk asks for feedback on the way out. A Custom Enterprise plan has to be cancelled by the support team on request. Access to the paid features continues to the end of the billing period. A subscription bought in the mobile app is cancelled in that store instead.
- Go to Settings, then Plans
- Select Cancel subscription in the top right-hand corner
- Answer the question about why you are cancelling to confirm
- What you keep afterwards
The terms say that when a subscription ends, for whatever reason, you lose access, the account is deleted along with your content, and folk removes that content from its servers immediately afterwards. There is no free plan to drop to. A help article on data deletion says a blocked workspace gets a warning 15 days after the last login, a second 7 days later and deletion 3 days after that.
Stated on folk.app- Renewals
The terms say the subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, depending on the plan, and the payment method on file is charged at the start of each new period under the same conditions as before, unless one side cancels. Invoices are emailed. No reminder before a renewal is mentioned. The renewal date is shown in the app under Settings, then Plans.

In your favour
- Cancelling is two clicks in Settings, with nobody to email unless you are on Enterprise.
- You keep the paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- Adding or removing a member is prorated, so you are not billed for seats you no longer have.
- The renewal date is shown in the app under Settings, then Plans, so it is easy to check.
Watch out for
- All fees are non-refundable, including for unused services, and that is the terms' own wording.
- There is no free plan to land on: when the subscription ends, so does your access.
- The terms say your account and content are deleted and removed from folk's servers after that.
- A Custom Enterprise plan can't be cancelled in the app; the support team has to do it.
Getting help from folk
Good · checked Oct 18, 2026
You can message the folk team on live chat from inside the app, or email them, and there is a decent help centre behind both. What no page we read will tell you is when anyone is at the desk or how long a reply takes, and Enterprise gets a priority queue and an account manager that nobody else does. Live chat without stated hours or a reply time is a B, not an A.
Ways to get help
Live chat
Live chat from inside your account, through the question-mark button at the bottom right. folk's billing article says you can message the team there if you would rather speak to someone directly.
Stated on help.folk.appEmail
folk gives an email address for the team at the foot of its help articles, as an alternative to live chat. A separate address is given for privacy and data requests in the account-deletion article.
Stated on help.folk.appAccount manager
The pricing page lists 1:1 onboarding sessions with a dedicated account manager on the Enterprise plan, alongside custom integrations and priority support.
Stated on folk.appHelp centre
A public help centre with collections on getting started, importing contacts, assistants, data, emails and sequences, integrations and the API, the mobile app, roles, security, and plans and billing.

Its pages do not say.
- What depends on your plan
The pricing page lists priority support and 1:1 onboarding with a dedicated account manager under Enterprise only. Nothing on the Standard or Premium cards mentions support, and the help centre points everyone to the same live chat and email.
Stated on folk.app
In your favour
- Live chat sits inside the app, so you are not hunting for a contact form.
- Both chat and email are offered on every plan, with no threshold stated.
- The help centre is public and covers billing, cancelling and deleting an account.
- Enterprise buyers get 1:1 onboarding with a named account manager.
Watch out for
- No hours are stated anywhere, so there is no telling when the chat is staffed.
- No reply time is stated either, for chat or for email.
- Priority support is an Enterprise word, and Enterprise starts at a custom quote.
- There is no phone line listed on any page we read.
What these two grades rest on. Read on 18 October 2026: folk's terms of use, its help articles on managing billing, on pricing plans, on the data deletion policy and on deleting an account, the help centre's front page and the plan cards on its pricing page. Nobody here cancelled a plan or contacted its support. They are graded apart from the five that make the GPA. How we grade refunds and support.
