GEORank review (2026): is it worth paying for?
Japanese AI search rank tracker for Gemini, ChatGPT and Perplexity

GEORank report card
Fair · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 24, 2026
Best for daily AI answer tracking in Japan
GEORank asks AI engines your buyer questions every morning and counts how often you and your rivals are recommended, leaving out mentions given as warnings. Starter is about $12 a month, but that buys 5 prompts on Gemini alone. ChatGPT and Perplexity start at Standard with 12 prompts, and the site, app and support are all in Japanese, with prices in yen.
Who GEORank is for
- Fits if you sell in Japan and want daily AI answer tracking for a few thousand yen a month
- Works for teams focused on Google's AI answers, which Starter follows through Gemini
Who GEORank is not for
- Not for you if you don't read Japanese, as the site, app and support are all in Japanese
- Tight if you track more than a handful of questions: 5 prompts on Starter, 12 on Standard, and 10 more cost ¥2,500 a month
- Skip it if you need ChatGPT or Perplexity on a small budget, as both start at Standard for ¥6,300 a month, and Claude isn't listed at all
- Watch out: plans renew monthly with no refunds or prorating, and no yearly plan is listed
- Watch out: prices are in yen before tax, so the dollar figures here are rough
Why GEORank gets a 2.4
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- AValue for moneyStarter is ¥1,800 a month before tax, roughly $12 at a rough exchange rate, under $17.40, which is 60% of where this category's cheaper quarter starts. But it covers 5 prompts on Gemini only. Standard, with 3 engines, is ¥6,300, roughly $42.
- CFree plan and trialNo free plan, but a 7-day trial of every feature with no card, and nothing is charged when it ends.
- CFeaturesDaily checks, a recommendation share that drops warning mentions, cited sites with to-dos, page rewrites and generated JSON-LD, robots.txt and llms.txt. The gaps are in the listing: Starter is Gemini only, and prompts stop at 5 or 12.
- CEase of useNo rating on record. The site, app and support are in Japanese, which is a wall for anyone who doesn't read it.
- CPlatforms and integrationsWeb only, with no desktop or phone app and no integrations or API listed. CSV export starts at Standard.

Keep GEORank, or make your own?
Keep it
The plain part of GEORank you could make: schema markup and reports. What surrounds it you could not. The 3 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.
It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.4 is higher than 125 of the 157 other AI search visibility tools we grade.
What you could make
- Schema markup and reports: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- The same prompts asked of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI answers every day, and the answers kept.
- A crawler that checks every page of a site.
- A score built from what the top results for each keyword cover.
What this rests on. GEORank’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
What is GEORank?
GEORank is a Japanese service that asks AI engines a set of buyer questions every morning and records how often a company and its competitors are recommended, discounting mentions given as warnings or bad examples. It lists the outside sites the answers cite, with suggested actions, and audits a site's pages with AI-written rewrites and generated JSON-LD, robots.txt and llms.txt code. It is aimed at small and mid-size Japanese businesses and agencies.
Worth knowing
