Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.8

GPA, above 13 of the 14 other customer review tools we grade

Junip is a product review app for Shopify stores, built in Toronto. It emails buyers for reviews with photos and videos, shows them in product page widgets, carousels and a reviews page, and sends ratings to Google Shopping, Meta, TikTok Shop and the Shop app. Every plan, including the free one, allows unlimited orders and review requests, so the price does not rise with sales.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Junip, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Junip is a Shopify review app with one big selling point: no plan limits orders or review requests, so the price doesn't climb as you sell.

  7. 7

The report card

Best for flat-price Shopify reviews with no order caps

Junip is a Shopify review app with one big selling point: no plan limits orders or review requests, so the price doesn't climb as you sell. The free plan is properly usable, and Core is $29 a month. Where it falls short is the extras: Google Shopping and TikTok sync start at $79, and AI and the API at $299.

ToolGPA report cardJunipGraded Oct 18, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyBCore is $29 a month at any order count, so that's what a 300-order shop pays, monthly only with no yearly discount. Set against its listed rivals at that size, it's among the cheapest. Syndication and Klaviyo wait for Growth at $79, though.
Free plan and trialAThe free plan has no cap on orders or review requests: automated request emails, on-site displays, replies, analytics and 2 users. A small shop could stay on it for good. Google review snippets and review incentives wait for Core.
FeaturesCPhoto and video reviews, product page and star widgets, carousels, a reviews page, syndication to Google Shopping, Meta, TikTok Shop and the Shop app, and AI on Premium. The gaps: it's a Shopify app only, and Q&A isn't on record.
Ease of useCNo store rating on record. It installs on Shopify and there's no order count to watch, but you still set up the request emails, place the widgets and work out which plan holds the bits you need.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, inside Shopify, with Klaviyo, Attentive, Postscript, Gorgias, Shopify Flow, Bazaarvoice and Google Shopping. The API is Premium only. No phone or desktop app is listed.
Grade point averageGood, out of 4.02.8

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Junip is for

  • Great if your order count jumps around and you want the same bill every month
  • Good for small Shopify stores that want a free plan with no order cap
  • Handy when your reviews feed Klaviyo or Postscript flows

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if your store isn't on Shopify
  • Pricey if you want AI summaries or the API, as both need Premium at $299
  • Tight if you run more than three stores, as each extra one is $99 a month

Good to know

Good for

  • Shopify stores with high order volume that want a fixed monthly price
  • Brands that send reviews to Klaviyo or Postscript flows
  • Small stores that want a free plan without an order cap

Worth knowing

  • It is a Shopify app; the site names no other store platform.
  • Google Shopping, Meta and TikTok syndication and the Klaviyo and Postscript integrations start at Growth, $79 a month.
  • AI summaries, the API and multi-store syndication are only on Premium, $299 a month; each store past three costs $99 a month.
  • Plans are shown with monthly prices only; the pricing page gives no yearly discount.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

The plain part of Junip you could make: review collection. What surrounds it you could not. The 3 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.8 is higher than 13 of the 14 other customer review tools we grade. It costs $348 a year.

What you could make

  • Review collection: an app builder makes this well.

What you could not

  • It plugs into other products, Shopify, Klaviyo and Attentive among them, and has an API.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • Hooks into the device itself: widgets.

What this rests on. Junip’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
