Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.2

Niural is a payroll and workforce platform for US companies that also hire abroad. It runs US payroll under a company's own entity or as a PEO with benefits, employs staff in other countries as an employer of record, runs payroll for existing foreign entities and pays contractors in local or digital currencies. AI agents help with tasks such as running payroll.
To get you started, here are 8 things to know about Niural, taken from its own pages and our grades.
AI agents can run payroll on the scheduled date, but you get there through a sales demo and setup.

The report card
Best for US startups hiring abroad on a tight budget
Niural is one platform for US companies that also hire abroad: US payroll, a PEO, employer of record in 150+ countries and contractor payments, even in stablecoins. Its EOR starts at $299 a person, about half the usual rate. But it's web only, sold through demos, and its plain US payroll is pricey.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | Graded against the other employer-of-record services: from $299 a person a month, $1,495 for five, half the $599 Deel and Remote charge. Its US payroll is another matter, at $100 plus $20 a person, $200 for five, the dearest here. |
| Free plan and trial | F | No free plan, no trial and no self-serve sign-up: every plan starts with a demo booked through sales. |
| Features | B | US payroll, a US PEO with health plans and 401(k), employer of record in 150+ countries, payroll for your foreign entities and contractor payments in local currencies or stablecoins. The whole job, at home and abroad. |
| Ease of use | C | No App Store rating on record. AI agents can run payroll on the scheduled date, but you get there through a sales demo and setup. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | Web only, with no mobile app and no integrations named in the listing. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Niural is for
- Great if you want employer of record abroad at around half the usual rate
- Handy when contractors want paying in their local currency or in stablecoins
- Good for small US teams that want PEO health plans without switching platforms later
Who it is not for
- Pricey if you only need US payroll, at $200 a month for five
- Skip it if you want to sign up without a sales demo
- Not for you if you want a phone app or integrations, as the listing shows neither
Good to know
Good for
- US startups that also employ or pay people abroad
- Companies paying contractors in local currencies or stablecoins
- Small US teams that want PEO benefits without changing platforms later
Worth knowing
- US payroll and the PEO cover US employees; EOR, Global Payroll and contractor payments each list 150+ countries.
- Every plan is bought by booking a demo with sales; there is no free trial or self-serve sign-up.
- Contractor of Record (Niural Armor) costs $299 a month per person, and Enterprise US payroll is priced by volume.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Niural you would be making payroll taxes worked out and filed with the government for you. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 13 of the 18 other payroll services grade higher. It costs $348 a year.
What you could not
- Payroll taxes worked out and filed with the government for you.
- It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Niural’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
