Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.2
GPA, above 3 of the 43 other habit trackers we grade
Roubit is a routine planner and habit tracker for iPhone and Android from Seoul-based Roubit Inc. Routines and one-time to-dos are set by day and group with alarms, and completing them earns carrots to spend on decorating the room of a rabbit character that grows over time. A diary records the day's emotions and returns a supportive letter from Roubit AI. Basic features are free; a premium membership, sold on the website as Roubit Ultimate, unlocks the rest.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Roubit, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Pick suggested routines by category, like waking up or drinking water, and there's nothing to design.
- 1
Best for keeping routines by decorating a rabbit's room
There are no streak statistics or health data.
- 2
Paid plans start at $5 a month when paid by the year
As its pricing page puts it: $59.99 per year, or $7.49 per month (US App Store prices).
- 3
There is a free plan
Basic features are free, per the vendor's FAQ; some features need a premium membership. The vendor does not list which ones are held back.
- 4
It runs on 2 platforms
iOS and Android.
- 5
Routines and to-dos
Repeating routines and one-time to-dos are managed together. Routines can be set by day and by group, each with its own date, time and alarm.
- 6
Alarms
Alarm sounds range from gentle to loud, so a routine starts when it is supposed to rather than being left for later.
- 7
Rabbit and room decoration
Completing a routine earns a carrot. Carrots buy furniture, wallpaper and flooring for the rabbit's room, and the rabbit grows as routines are kept up.
- 8
A 2.2 GPA, above 3 of 43
That is against the other habit trackers we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Your call
A habit tracker at its plainest is a list of habits, a tick for each day and a count of the streak.

The report card
Best for keeping routines by decorating a rabbit's room
Roubit pays you in carrots: finish a routine, earn a carrot, and spend it on furniture for a rabbit's room, with a diary that gets an AI letter back. But the membership is $59.99 a year or $7.49 a month and Roubit won't say which features it unlocks, Gold Carrots are sold on top, the Android app carries ads, and it's phones only. There are no streak statistics or health data.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | The year is $59.99, $5 a month, at the dear end of this category's middle band, and paying monthly is $7.49, past it. The FAQ says only that "some features" need the membership without naming one. |
| Free plan and trial | C | The basic features are free, and the vendor leaves it at that: which ones are held back isn't published anywhere. The Google Play listing is marked as containing ads, and Gold Carrots, the in-app currency, are sold in packs from $0.99 to $9.99. |
| Features | C | The basics and a game on top: repeating routines and one-off to-dos set by day and group, alarms from gentle to loud, daily quests, routine suggestions by category, widgets, and a diary that gets an AI letter back. No streak statistics, no health data and nothing it connects to. |
| Ease of use | B | 4.72 on the App Store, but from only about 420 ratings, short of the 1,000 an A needs on our ladder. Pick suggested routines by category, like waking up or drinking water, and there's nothing to design. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | Phones only, and the App Store lists the iOS app as iPhone-only, so not even an iPad. No web or desktop version, nothing it connects to, and the Play listing carries ads. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Roubit is for
- Fits if you keep routines better when there's something to collect
- Works for simple daily habits, like drinking water or taking supplements
Who it is not for
- Pricey if you go premium, at $59.99 a year or $7.49 a month with no list of what it unlocks
- Skip it if a rabbit and carrots sound like clutter, because the game is the whole idea
- Not for you if you want a tablet, web or desktop app, as it's phones only and iPhone-only on iOS
- Watch out: Gold Carrots, an in-app currency, are sold in packs from $0.99 to $9.99 on top of the membership
- Too light for anyone who wants streak statistics, health data or links to other apps
Good to know
Good for
- People who keep routines better when there is something to collect

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Your call
A habit tracker at its plainest is a list of habits, a tick for each day and a count of the streak.
You could make the core of Roubit for yourself: habit tracking, tasks, daily notes and mood tracking. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. It costs $59.99 a year.
What you could make
- Habit tracking, tasks, daily notes and mood tracking: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
- Hooks into the device itself: widgets.
What this rests on. Roubit’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
