Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.0
GPA, above 1 of the 21 other SEO tools we grade
Seobility is a browser-based SEO suite from Germany. Its crawler checks every page of a site for technical, on-page and content problems, and the app also tracks Google rankings on desktop and mobile, monitors backlinks and watches uptime. A free Basic plan covers one small site; paid plans raise the number of projects, pages crawled and keywords tracked.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Seobility, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Projects, crawls and keyword lists all need setting up, and on the free plan there's a wait between crawls.
- 1
Best for site audits and rankings for small sites
There are no integrations on record, though, and AI tracking is still to come.
- 2
Paid plans start at $69.90 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $69.90 per month, billed monthly.
- 3
There is a free plan
Basic plan, free with no time limit: 1 website project, 100 pages per crawl started by hand, 10 tracked keywords and 5 tool credits a day.
- 4
It runs on Web
Web.
- 5
Website audit
Crawls a whole site, with JavaScript if needed, and reports broken pages, meta data, duplicate content, slow pages, redirects and pages blocked to AI bots.
- 6
Ranking monitoring
Desktop rankings on Google's first two pages update daily and mobile every three days, down to city level, with Local Pack and AI Overview tracking.
- 7
Competitor monitoring
Compares a project's rankings with 20 to 30 competitors per project, depending on plan.
- 8

The report card
Best for site audits and rankings for small sites
Seobility, from Germany, crawls your whole site for technical and content problems, tracks your Google rankings, watches backlinks and even checks the site is up. The free Basic plan covers one small site, and Premium is $671.04 a year, about $55.92 a month. There are no integrations on record, though, and AI tracking is still to come.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | Premium is $671.04 a year, about $55.92 a month on yearly billing ($69.90 monthly), a little above this category's dearer quarter. That buys 3 projects, 25,000 pages per crawl and 300 keywords; white-label reports and team members need Professional. |
| Free plan and trial | C | A free Basic plan with no time limit: 1 project, 100 pages per crawl, 10 tracked keywords and 5 tool credits a day, and you start each crawl by hand. Fine for a tiny site, tight for a business. Paid plans have a 14-day trial too. |
| Features | C | Whole-site audits with JavaScript, daily desktop rankings for Google's first two pages, 20 competitors, weekly backlink checks, uptime alerts and keyword research. Gaps: daily tracking past page two is an add-on, and AI tracking is listed as coming soon. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record. Projects, crawls and keyword lists all need setting up, and on the free plan there's a wait between crawls. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | Web only, with no integrations or API on record, just PDF and CSV exports. No desktop or phone app. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Seobility is for

- Handy when you want uptime alerts in the same place as your SEO

- Skip it if you want to track your brand in AI answers, which is still coming
- Not for you if you need it to connect to other tools, as none are listed
Good to know
Good for
- Small businesses that want audits and rank tracking without a large suite

- Extra projects cost $5.90 to $16.90 a month each and 100 extra keywords $7.90 to $11.90 a month, depending on plan.
- Daily tracking beyond Google's first two pages is a paid add-on, and AI visibility tracking is listed as coming soon.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Seobility you would be making an index of the links between billions of web pages. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 16 of the 21 other SEO tools grade higher. It costs $838.80 a year.
What you could make
- Reports: an app builder makes this well.
What you could not
- An index of the links between billions of web pages.
- Search volumes for millions of keywords, gathered and kept up to date.
- A crawler that checks every page of a site.
- Daily checks of where your pages rank in search results.
What this rests on. Seobility’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
